UNITED KINGDOM KNANAYA CATHOLIC ASSOCIATION (UKKCA) TRUSTEE'S ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH2024 Structure, Governance and Management. The Trustee's present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2024. The United Kingdom Knanya Catholic Association (UKKCA) is a nationwide Catholic group with 8 Regions and 51 units. Thi5 is one of the largest Catholic associations in the UK.1ts 5truGture consists of the Central Committee (Trustee5) which has been elected by the members of the National Council by secret. The National Council is a Corum of the executives from unit levels of the UKKCA. The normal term of the Central Committee shall be two years and in exceptional circumstances the temi can be extended to a maximum of an additional year with the approval of two thirds of the majority of the National Council. The United Kingdom Knanaya Catholic Youth League (UKKCYL) and the United Kingdom Knanaya Catholic Women's Forum (UKKCWF) are affiliated to the UKKCA. Objectives and Activitie5 The Advanceme￿ of Christian Rellglon in accordance with the tenets of the {Knanya) Catholic Church forthe advan￿ment of Education, Famlly unlty and the fulfilment of S¢xial. Cultural and Welfare needs of the member5 and the connected societies. UKKCA Convention On July 8th, 2023. UKKCA celebrated its 20th annual national convention at the National Exhibition Centre, Stoneleigh ParK Warwickshlre. By scale and attendance, this was the largest convention in the 23-year hlstory of the organization with over 7000 members attending the evenL The convention served as an opportunity for its M•M￿r5 to meet, renew relations and network with other fellow members of UKKCA. The event commenced with our youth wlng UKKCYL performing a welcome dance wlth over 150 participants on stagè. As with every natlonal convention, 2023 also witnessed all 51 units showcaslng their unit strength wlth the procession rally wlth various historic enactmants of Knanaya Cathollc tradltlons. The publlc meeting was also welcomed by all 7000 attendees wlth the main speakers of the event along with the chief guest Lee Anderson, MP for Sutton-in-Ashfield who spoke highly of the functioning and relevance of UKKCA in the UK catholic community. During the public meeting, Mr Raju VC was honored for his exceptional charitable work in helping the needed and homeless in Kerala, India. 2. Youth Convention - The UKKCA'S youth wing UKKCYL. held a vibrant convention known as Yhekkans. on 18 February 2023 at the Bethel Convention Centre. Bimiingham. The event was attended by over 2000 youth members of UKKCYL. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation and showcased the talents of the youth within our community. The event marked as a benchmark in the history of UKKCYL. 3. Women's Day-The Women's wing of UKKCA knows as UKKCWF organized a special event to commemorate Women's Day on the 14th of October 2023, underlining our commitment to gender equality and community engagement. 4. National Council Meetings - The UKKCA conducted two in-person national council meetings and six vlrtual meetings via Zoom, which played a crucial role in decision making and organizational activities. 5. Various Unit Programs - All 51 unlts of UKKCA celebrated festivals like Easter, Chrlstmas, and New Year through various programs. Regular monthly meetings were held to foster active participatlon within the communlty. 6. Activities UKKCA conducted a badminton toumament for Its members on the 6th of May 2023 in Leicestershire, which saw ov8r 100 members partlcipate and the winners were rewarded with cash prizes and trophles.

UNITED KINGDOM KNANAYA CATHOLIC ASSOCIATION (UKKCA) TRUSTEE'S ANNUAL REPORT (CONTINUED) FOR THE YEAR ENOED 31 MARCH 2024 Tug of war competition was also held on the 30th of September2023 in Birmingham which saw 15 men's teams and 3 women's teams participate in a highty spirited competition with wlnners rewarded with cash prizes and trophies. As part of UKKCA'S nationwide Christmas celebration, a carol singing competltion was held on the 10th of December 2023 in Coventry, wlth participants from across all the UKKCA unlts In the UK. As part of our pledge to educat8 and infonn our members of all functions of a charitable organizatlon, UKKCA conducted a safeguarding awareness seminar on the 10th of November 2023 for its members. It was with deep regret that UKKCA was informed of the sad demise of our member Merina from our Blackpool unit. UKKCA initiated a charity appeal across its UK members to cover the expenses of transporting the demised back to Kerala, India as well as a contrlbutlon to the further upbringing of Merina's children. UKKCA collected £22,778 which was handed over to Merina's family. other 2024 Activities • UKKCA Women's Forum: Expanslon of actlvltles and organization of electlons to boost engagement and leadershlp among women rnembers. • 21st UKKCA Convention: Scheduled for July 6th, 2024, at Telford Internation Centre, anticipated to be a landmark event and the largest national convention for UKKCA. • Charlty Initiatives: Continuation of support for causes and Individuals based on wrltten requests, showcasing UKKCA'S commltment to charity and the wellbeing of its members. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparatlon of the accounts. UNITED KINGDOM KNANAYA CATHOLIC ASSOCIATION (UKKCA) BASIS OF PREPARATION Basis of accountin The financial statements have been prepared based on historic cost in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities -statement of Recommended Practice(SORP 2015), the Accounting Standards and with the Charities Act 2011. Chan e in the basis of accountin and re orts to com are the revious submission. Previously the accounts had been submitted in fomial report format and were not using the professional fomats for Income and Expenditure Statement and the Balance Sheet. From this year, l used the professional format and re-stated 2022123 figures. Also started to Consolidate the possible units15 out of 51) on the materiality basis and available information from the units, since most of them are in their initial stage and hardly got any transaction to report. The Current Trustees are very keen to communicate the message to the units and hopefully. more units will provide the infomiation. The current issue is the lack of enough volunteers in the unit level to manage the matter. INCOMING RESOURCES Reco nition of incomin resources These are included in the Statement of Financial Activities (SOFA) when.. The Charity becomes entitled to resources The trustees are virtually certain they will re￿1ve the resources; and The monetary value can be measured with sufficient reliability Insurance claim Due to the fire to the Centre, received the insurance claims and which is reported in the 2022-23 re-stated financial statement which is line with the financial year (Apr- Mar) and as per the Bank Statement. Fixed assets Only the Major asset is the Land Building the renovation was completed during the financial year 2024-25. UNITED KINGDOM KNANAYA CATHOLIC ASSOCIATION (UKKCA) TRUSTEE'S ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH2024 Structure, Governance and Management. The Trustee's present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2024. The United Kingdom Knanya Catholic Association (UKKCA) is a nationwide Catholic group with 8 Regions and 51 units. Thi5 is one of the largest Catholic associations in the UK.1ts 5truGture consists of the Central Committee (Trustee5) which has been elected by the members of the National Council by secret. The National Council is a Corum of the executives from unit levels of the UKKCA. The normal term of the Central Committee shall be two years and in exceptional circumstances the temi can be extended to a maximum of an additional year with the approval of two thirds of the majority of the National Council. The United Kingdom Knanaya Catholic Youth League (UKKCYL) and the United Kingdom Knanaya Catholic Women's Forum (UKKCWF) are affiliated to the UKKCA. Objectives and Activitie5 The Advanceme￿ of Christian Rellglon in accordance with the tenets of the {Knanya) Catholic Church forthe advan￿ment of Education, Famlly unlty and the fulfilment of S¢xial. Cultural and Welfare needs of the member5 and the connected societies. UKKCA Convention On July 8th, 2023. UKKCA celebrated its 20th annual national convention at the National Exhibition Centre, Stoneleigh ParK Warwickshlre. By scale and attendance, this was the largest convention in the 23-year hlstory of the organization with over 7000 members attending the evenL The convention served as an opportunity for its M•M￿r5 to meet, renew relations and network with other fellow members of UKKCA. The event commenced with our youth wlng UKKCYL performing a welcome dance wlth over 150 participants on stagè. As with every natlonal convention, 2023 also witnessed all 51 units showcaslng their unit strength wlth the procession rally wlth various historic enactmants of Knanaya Cathollc tradltlons. The publlc meeting was also welcomed by all 7000 attendees wlth the main speakers of the event along with the chief guest Lee Anderson, MP for Sutton-in-Ashfield who spoke highly of the functioning and relevance of UKKCA in the UK catholic community. During the public meeting, Mr Raju VC was honored for his exceptional charitable work in helping the needed and homeless in Kerala, India. 2. Youth Convention - The UKKCA'S youth wing UKKCYL. held a vibrant convention known as Yhekkans. on 18 February 2023 at the Bethel Convention Centre. Bimiingham. The event was attended by over 2000 youth members of UKKCYL. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation and showcased the talents of the youth within our community. The event marked as a benchmark in the history of UKKCYL. 3. Women's Day-The Women's wing of UKKCA knows as UKKCWF organized a special event to commemorate Women's Day on the 14th of October 2023, underlining our commitment to gender equality and community engagement. 4. National Council Meetings - The UKKCA conducted two in-person national council meetings and six vlrtual meetings via Zoom, which played a crucial role in decision making and organizational activities. 5. Various Unit Programs - All 51 unlts of UKKCA celebrated festivals like Easter, Chrlstmas, and New Year through various programs. Regular monthly meetings were held to foster active participatlon within the communlty. 6. Activities UKKCA conducted a badminton toumament for Its members on the 6th of May 2023 in Leicestershire, which saw ov8r 100 members partlcipate and the winners were rewarded with cash prizes and trophles.

UNITED KINGDOM KNANAYA CATHOLIC ASSOCIATION (UKKCA) TRUSTEE'S ANNUAL REPORT (CONTINUED) FOR THE YEAR ENOED 31 MARCH 2024 Tug of war competition was also held on the 30th of September2023 in Birmingham which saw 15 men's teams and 3 women's teams participate in a highty spirited competition with wlnners rewarded with cash prizes and trophies. As part of UKKCA'S nationwide Christmas celebration, a carol singing competltion was held on the 10th of December 2023 in Coventry, wlth participants from across all the UKKCA unlts In the UK. As part of our pledge to educat8 and infonn our members of all functions of a charitable organizatlon, UKKCA conducted a safeguarding awareness seminar on the 10th of November 2023 for its members. It was with deep regret that UKKCA was informed of the sad demise of our member Merina from our Blackpool unit. UKKCA initiated a charity appeal across its UK members to cover the expenses of transporting the demised back to Kerala, India as well as a contrlbutlon to the further upbringing of Merina's children. UKKCA collected £22,778 which was handed over to Merina's family. other 2024 Activities • UKKCA Women's Forum: Expanslon of actlvltles and organization of electlons to boost engagement and leadershlp among women rnembers. • 21st UKKCA Convention: Scheduled for July 6th, 2024, at Telford Internation Centre, anticipated to be a landmark event and the largest national convention for UKKCA. • Charlty Initiatives: Continuation of support for causes and Individuals based on wrltten requests, showcasing UKKCA'S commltment to charity and the wellbeing of its members. UNITED KINGDOM KNANAYA CATHOLIC ASSOCIATION (UKKCA) BASIS OF PREPARATION Basis of accountin The financial statements have been prepared based on historic cost in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities -statement of Recommended Practice(SORP 2015), the Accounting Standards and with the Charities Act 2011. Chan e in the basis of accountin and re orts to com are the revious submission. Previously the accounts had been submitted in fomial report format and were not using the professional fomats for Income and Expenditure Statement and the Balance Sheet. From this year, l used the professional format and re-stated 2022123 figures. Also started to Consolidate the possible units15 out of 51) on the materiality basis and available information from the units, since most of them are in their initial stage and hardly got any transaction to report. The Current Trustees are very keen to communicate the message to the units and hopefully. more units will provide the infomiation. The current issue is the lack of enough volunteers in the unit level to manage the matter. INCOMING RESOURCES Reco nition of incomin resources These are included in the Statement of Financial Activities (SOFA) when.. The Charity becomes entitled to resources The trustees are virtually certain they will re￿1ve the resources; and The monetary value can be measured with sufficient reliability Insurance claim Due to the fire to the Centre, received the insurance claims and which is reported in the 2022-23 re-stated financial statement which is line with the financial year (Apr- Mar) and as per the Bank Statement. Fixed assets Only the Major asset is the Land Building the renovation was completed during the financial year 2024-25. The relevant costs during 2022-23 and 2023-24 are reported in Fixed assets additions.
