UKKCA Annual Report 2021 2020-2021

United Kingdom Knanaya Catholic Association is a national organisation registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, (Register Number: 1135189) with 51 Units all over the UK. UKKCA as an organisation conducts national level community programs for its members and coordinates various cultural activities at the unit level.

Unfortunately this year due to Covid 19 pandemic most of our activities were conducted online.

The annual income for this year £ 45612.4753244 which threshold.

Reporting on the Public Benefit:

UKKCA has continued to progress by creating opportunities and fulfilling the needs of the members in feels such as social, cultural, physical, and spiritual etc.

The following programs were organised to achieve its objectives.

Various online programs conducted offered platform for the community members to showcase their talent at national level

  1. Knai Thomman Statue installed in the Community Centre. The statue of installation day celebrated various cultural programmes by its members.

  2. All UK Badminton tournament organised for the members.

  3. Calendar for 2021 was deigned, printed and distributed to all the families of the community.

UKKCA designed and developed a unique exclusive Matrimonial site for the Global Knanaya youth to explore a wider choice for the appropriate alliance among the community members across the globe. (Conti.20-21)

Community Centre: The Community centre had a couple arson fire attacks and waiting for its repair work to be carried out.

UKKCA convention : Due to the escalation of the pandemic we could not organise our National Convention - the most attractive colourful and vibrant program of the UKKCA.

Youth Convention : The convention of the Youth wing of the UKKCA (UKKCYL) was well organised called Thekkans which around 2000 enthusiastic youngsters along with their inspiring directors

participated with missionary zeal to make the event a huge success. The participants made most of the opportunity for promoting the budding talents to flower.

an online quiz competition and a three days online retreat for their members.

National Council Meetings : UKKCA had 2 physical national council meetings and 4 zoom meetings. These meetings enabled all members to be part of the decision making process and get involved in organisational activities. The meeting of the National Council is an opportunity to discuss various issues affecting the members within the Community to face the challenges ahead.

Various Unit Programs: All the 51 units regularly organised their different programs to celebrate various occasions like Christmas & New Year etc. There were other monthly meetings in the local area virtually and physically which enable them to be more active and associated with UKKCA.

Virtually all the Central Committee members of the association attended more than 15Unit programs/meetings in this financial year, which increased the organisation and to understand the local issues. This way of continuous interaction of the Central committee will strengthen the relationship of members with the organisation.
