The trustees have established their mission aims ‘ _To respond to the Good news of Jesus Christ and to live out the Love of God for All people’ and will do this by_ : Being a Welcoming, hospitable and inclusive. A place which is open to all, that celebrates diversity and will share what we have in common with others. We will seek to be an environmentally conscious church and one that is committed to service and justice in our neighbourhood and across the world. Ion this we will seek to empower local people and work towards being a church that is responsive to the challenges and needs of the local community and open to working with other organisations to meet local needs and aspirations. The trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the public benefit guidance issued by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. ## **Activities and Achievements** During the year, the church: - Held regular Sunday worship and midweek gatherings - Provided pastoral care and support to members and the wider community - Offered hospitality and space for community groups and activities ## **Impact:** The church moved into a newly built church building following a period meeting in a local community centre during the demolishment and rebuild of the church premises. Since moving into the new building in June 2025 the church has sought to become a welcoming and inclusive presence in the local area, offering spiritual support, community connection, and a place of belonging. Our goal moving forward would be to increase activities to supported individuals experiencing isolation, hardship, and uncertainty, while nurturing faith and fellowship. ## **Financial Summary** - **Income:** £ 588, 427 - **Expenditure:** £ 98,780 Although we have a deficit in this year as we have inhabited this new building we have had a number of expenses that we do not expect in other years. The trustees consider the financial position of the church to be stable and will improve as the potential for income from use of the building by organisations who will pay a rental fee will increase as we move forward. ## **Reserves:** The trustees aim to maintain appropriate reserves to ensure the ongoing sustainability of the church’s mission and ministry, we have a reserves policy in which we agree to hold at least 6 months running costs in reserve should we be in a position of temporarily losing income. ## **Plans for the Coming Year** The trustees plan to: - Sustain and develop worship and discipleship opportunities - Strengthen community engagement and outreach - Support volunteers and leadership within the church - Continue to review the use of buildings and resources to support mission ## **Governance and Management** The church is governed by the Methodist Church’s structures and its own Church Council, which meets regularly to oversee the life and work of the church. ## **Risk and Safeguarding** The trustees will begin to review key risks, including financial sustainability, property, and volunteer capacity.
