Contributions in resped of the defined ￿nefftS and defined contritr￿rt[ons schemes are calculated a5 a
per￿ntage of the pensionabla sal8rie5 of employees. For schemes su(J) as The Pension Builder Scheme
IP8SI, formerly known as the Church of England Defined Contributions Scheme IDCSI. FRS 102 requires tho
Board lo account for pension costs on the basis of contributions 8Ctually payable lo the scheme during the
year. Contributions to the pension schemes are charged monthly lo the income and expenditu￿ account.
The Baptist Ministerfs Penwon Fund ITBMPFI is an unfijnded ￿heme and contribLrtions ale calculated so as
to spread the cost of pensions over employees, working lives the charty in such a way that the pension
cost is a ￿bStantiallY level pe￿ntage of current and futur8 pensionable payToII. The contributi￿$ are

Consequently. the TBMPF is treated as a defined contribution scheme for a￿OUnting purposes and the

Crrtrcal accounting e$Umates and Judgements
In the application of the Charivs accounting polieies, the Trustees are required to make judgements,
estimates and assumptions about the caryng amount of assets and Ilabililies that are not readlly apparent
frorn other sources. The estimates and asswated assumptions are based on historical experience and other
factors that are ¢onsidered to be rolevanl. Actual resLJlls may drffer from these eslimales.
The estimates and underlying assumptions are remewed on an ongoing basis. Revisions to accounting
eslimales are recognised in the period in whith the estimate is revised where the revision affects only that
period, or in the perÈod of the revision and fvlure periods vthere the revision affects both current and future
periods.
The key eslimales induded in the financial ststements are in respe(* of impaiment of fixed assets via
depredallon and prowsions fof bad debts.
The key judgements induded in the finanoal statements relate to the detemiination of any Defined Benefrt
