The Object of the Charity is the advancement of the Christian Faith for the benefft of the public,
in accordance wrth the Scherre of Union of Unrted Refomied Church.
The Churth is part ofthe W8St Midland8 Synod of the United RefomRd Church. and its

The Trustees are the same as the seprfing Elders of the Church and are elected by the Church
Members at the Annual Church Meeting in March. Decisions are made by Church Meeting on
recommendation from the Elders.
The Churd)'s Mission Statement is To know Jesus better, and to make Him better known.. To
this end the Church holds services each Sunday moming and at other tim8s. Occash)nally other
types of se￿iCe are hekl to attract those for whom fomal worship is unattractive. We also hold
programmes of study. There are mid-week aciivities for 81derly. focussing on welSbeing, and
for those with mental issues and their carers. All of these are open to anyone who wishes to
attend.
Much of the Church's activty was severely affected by th8 Coronavirus. Wrth the easing of
lockdown most events, both worship and those for the eldedy. have resumed, but ￿llth lower
numbers. We had tK>ped to resume some actwty wtth young people, as we had agreed to
share the sep4ices of an outreach worker with the local Methodist churches. Unfortunately, this
did not take place.
Our financial position remains strong which is currently supported by the ￿tentIOn of rental
Income from Ihe Manse and income from investrnents vthich have also increased in value over
the year.

I report on the financial statements of The United Refomigj Church, Broadway, Worcestershire.
Charity (Charty No. 1134894) for the year ended 31st December 2023, which are set out on
pages 1-
The Trustees are responsibkg for the preparation of the acxounts. They consider that an audrt is
not required for this year urKl8r section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charf(ies Act) and
that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibilty to..
-Examine the accounts under section 145 of Ihe CharTties Act.
-To follow the proc&Jures laid do￿ in the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission (under
Section 145{5)(b) of the Charities Acl)
To stste whether particular matters have come to my attention.
My examination was carried out in aC￿rdan￿ with the general Directions given by the Charty
Commission. An examination indudes a review of ts accounting records kept by the charity
and a comparison of the accounts presented with those record8. It also includes consideration
of any unusual rterns or disdosures in the financial Statel￿nts and seeking explanations from
the Trustees conceming such matters. The procedur8s undertaken do not provide all the
evidence that would be required in an audrt. and consequenty no opinion is given as to whether
the accounts present a Irue and fairf view and the report is limited to those matters set out in
the statanent below.
In conneciion wrth my examination. no matter has o)me to my attention
1. which gives me reasonable ￿use to beI￿ve that in, any material re8p8rt the requirements
- to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Ad,.
- to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the
accounting requirements of the Charities Act have not been me( or
2. to which, in my opinion. attention shoukl be drawn in order to enab5e a proper understanding
