The club provides community Involvement ift ￿althY recreation Idlnghy sailing), advancing the
physical oducation of young people by provsdlng equipment and faciltties to loam the sport of
sailing. and ¢ducating the public about the sustainable recreallonal use of the Mero on whi
the club salls. The dub aims to provide these facililias and Sgrvlcos at a low cost ond to some
groups free of charge. Tho principle publlc bonefil is heallhy ￿rgatiOn.

This has been ar￿1her successful year for the club with a wide range of on and off water
8Ctiv¢ties tsking place.
Thè club eontlnues to supw)rt ￿lsure s811ing on a We(Inesday evenlng and ovor the wggKend$
along wlh racing taking place on ffl05t Sundays with 12 and 16 race series ￿Ong with some
sland alone day $8ri8s ra¢es. Thè number of people racing has continued to increase during
thg ygar wth a noti¢gable incroaso of some of the younger members ra¢ing on a Sunday.
Effort has b8en made to Include m¢xe of the membership In Club aclivilies this yttar so wo h8ve
Introduced 'WOW' ￿oMen on the Water). FamNy raclng and a '8UOYS' (Brush Up On Your
Skills) sessions which have been well attended on Saturday rnomings.
There have been a number of projects completed on shore this year. Work has been carried
out lo improve the vehi¢ular entrance lo the ¢lub to improvè salety and the ability to park off the
roa¢J with a trail8r when oper81ing the entrancè galè. Signifi¢ant improvements have b88n
made to Ihe jetties this year wth a jetty being added and old jetty being re￿aCed along with
some shoreline concrete hazards being removed.
The club was given the opportunity to purchase anoth8r Kln$man keelboat from tha Nancy
Oldfield Trust. This has really enhanced the keelboat section of the dub and has led to an
increase in keelboat training courses and additional members who are specifically looking to sail
larger boats In the cfub. The 2nd Kfnsman also enhances our sallabiftty opportunlues w(thln the
club.
The dub was honoured to host the 75th anniversary c818bratlons of the GP14 dlnghy dass in
September. wlh the dub having been one of the first clubs lo race GP14's back in 1950.
Tha ejub has signèd a rènèwèd 18888 agréèmènt this ya8r with th8 8lto'8 Landord 2nd a9r88d
the terms for rent rtses in future years.
The club has conlinu8d to provide RYA IrainiThJ to both adults ond youths via courses in dinghy
and keelboat sailing as well as powerboat training.
Memberships were again down thls year by approximately 10 with mainly a reduction in family
m8mb8rshSp$. The downward trgnd has occurrad sSncg an abnomially hlgh mombarshlp post
the covid pandemic. Th8 club plans to focus on ImprovSng Ihg membership numbgrs next y9ar
with the help of members and the RYA.

wlth a partSw18r focus on youth s8111ng to help encourage younger members lo continu8 their
