At the start
of the year we continued to use Zoom for our main
meetings and as restrictions eased we have
attempted to return to meeting in person. with training taking place weekly along with games for local leagues. Our monthly board games evening have operated again as restrictions have allowed. We have continued with Kintsugi groups this year being held on zoom to start with and then in person as restrictions were lifted. Alongside this our church joined in with the big church read of a book by Ruth Rice called Slow Down Show Up And Pray. From this we have started working with Renew to setup a Renew space with the aim of creating a space for people to work on improving their wellbeing. Community youth work has been encouraging toward the end of the year with several of the previously attending youth inquiring about resuming meetings from before COVID. Towards the end of the year we were able to hold some meetings. It has been a joy to welcome young families back to our stay and play sessions, this group is now called Saplings. We adapted the way the sessions were run in line with Covid guidelines. Families collected bags of toys and played on ‘islands’. We have met new families and enjoyed seeing those who came before Covid. We also made available the rooms within the church to hire for local community groups, events including celebrations, training and learning and perfecting skills.
