The church has been open throughout 2023. income from planned gNin& collettlon plate and donations has reduced the prior year. At E32.706 It Is over 5k115% lower than In 2022. Fee income net of disbursements decreased on 20222 by £1.589 Income from activities to generate fvnd5 declined on 2022, reaching £17.393. The majority of th15 was due to the new tenancy on the croft flat In July22, whereby the arrangement was to take a full year of rent up front. Earnings relating to 2023 have been desl8nated in reserves but then moved to income received monthly In July 23. The Croft has rernalned open for room hlre this year and th15 generated £3262. Once agaln much hard work was placed on fundraising activites with a total of £8085 generated from fairs, a lurnble sale, cream teas and coffee mornings, thoir Con￿rtS. beer and carols. Djing and appeals. Thls was an In¢￿3$e on last year of over 50%. The PCC managed to pay ILXM of 5ts parish sha￿. The alm is to try and obtaln grants that are avallable to Improve the building as we have paid Ic￿ whilst malntslning a £60K re5eTVe. Church running expenses continued to be high due to heatSng charges. The gas contract renewed Sn May 2023 and prices had tripled due lothe war in Ukraine. It is expected that runnln8 Costs will be lower In 2024 as I have obtslned a better deal on gas whlch could potentlally see a 50% reductlon. We have also Installed a Nest them)ostat which should see efficient usage of energy in 2024. Major works will be undertaken In 2024 which should Smprove the building and make It more feasible and sustslnable. Reserves were £66783. The church wlll contlnue to hold a mlnlmum reserve p)Ilcy of £60,(KM) vthich represents 3 months of operating costs. a £25k building reser¥e and we are due to get a le8acv payment from an estate which should be clrca £20K whlth Is rin8-fen￿d by PCC for buildlng works.The solicitors are to provide an update. I conflrm that no material matters have come to my attentlon in connection with the examlnation whlch gives me cause to believe that in. any material respect: the accounting records were kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charltles Art. the accounts a8ree with the accountlng records the accounts comply with the appllcable requirements Con￿rnIn8 the fomi and content of accounts set out In the Charftles (Accounts and Reports) Regulatlons 21J)8, other than any requlrement that the accounts give a 'true and fairf view whlch Is r￿t a matter consldered as part of an Independeni examlnatlon.
