hall.
The parish is affiliated to The S(xieiy under the Patronage of Si Wilfrid and St Hilda.
The PCC has pa5%d a resolution in accordance with the H(Ktse of Bishops, Declaraiion on lh¢ ministry of
bishop5 and pri¢sls. 4rMI ihe parish is under the pasiornl car¢ of the Bishop of Fulham.
OBJECTIVFS AND ACTIVITIES
The PCC is cornmitted to enablirtg as many people as t￿￿ible to Worship ai our church and 10 become pari of
our parish community. The PCC mainiains an overview of worship. Mass is celebraied daily and wilh traditional
501emnity on Sundays and othcr significani days in the liiurgical ¢alend8r.

Our Links with the Wider Church
During 2022 Si Michael's has been pleased io participa* in the life of the Croydon Central Deanery, boih
Ihrough the clergy chap(er and ihe tkanery Synod. li has been a pleasure 10 collaboraie wilh friends ai Croydon
Minsier and Si Alban's South Norwood in devoiional xtiviiies and in trrnis of muiual support for the clergy.
We have played an aciive part in ihe li(e of Ihe Diocese in various ways, noi leasi in paying our Parish Share in
full and on lime. Frfim and Fr Nigel have atiended vatious events for Honoiary Canons in Souihwark
Caihedral.
In July 2022 Fr Nigel and Fr rim aL￿fided a three41ay Academic Conference. The De5ceirl of rlre Dove, ￿ Pusey
House, Oxford. The $￿akerS and participants were drawn from a wide rartge of universities and differen(
Chiistian denominaiiofts.
During 2022, as well as inviiin8 visiiing preachers to Si Michael's. Ihe Parish Clergy have also undertaken
various preachin8 engagemertis and provided Mass covei elsewhere in ihe wider Chuich.
Our Parishioners
In 2022 Joseph Goswell and Alan Rose. ourexcelleni Chuiehwardens. have served with gteai dedication and
kindness. not leasi in carrying out (heir duly of care io (he clergy. We are tren￿ndoUSlY grateful io them for iheir
cheerful and generous commiimeni of lime and ent￿Y io ihe life and minisiry of our Parish.
The Parish was very well served by many genen)vs Jwle who make ihe life of Ihe chutch hap￿n smooihly
and well. We are very graieful io our PCC Tieasurer. our Ifc Secretary. our Parish Adminisirator, our Direcior
of Music and 811 our musicians and our Sacriman and seTvets.
We are exiremely graieful io Gloria Renner Thomas. whose calm and reliable dedicaiion io her imponani work
as our Safeguarding orricer is very much 4)preciaied by everyone here ai Si Michael's and widely admired by
our Diocesan Safeguarding colleaoues.

year ahead.
We record our profound sorrow ai ihe de￿h in Ociober of our dear Parishioner, Jon Blanchard. Jon was
Sltengihened at Ihe lasi by ihe riles of ihe Church. His funera] Mass in Church was exiremely beauiiful and we
coniinue 10 pray lor Ihe repose of his soul.
