|Summary of the purposes of<br>the charity as set out in its<br>governing document|Para 1.17|The principal purpose of Llanishen Baptist<br>Church (LBC) is the advancement of the<br>Christian faith according to the principles of<br>the Baptist denomination. The Church may<br>also advance education and carry out other<br>charitable purposes in the United Kingdom<br>and/or other parts of the world.|
|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or services<br>identified in the accounts.|Para 1.17 and<br>1.19|The area in which the charity operates is as<br>set out in the Governing document.<br>The Church provides religious services for<br>all age groups every Sunday. Prayer<br>meetings and bible study groups are held<br>during the week, initially virtually due to the<br>pandemic, but in person later in the reporting<br>year. LBC also hosts Churches Together<br>prayer link meetings on a rotational basis.<br>LBC offers outreach activities for the local<br>community. These include ‘Open Doors’<br>which runs on Wednesdays and offers<br>companionship, particularly for those who<br>are retired, lonely or bereaved.<br>LBC runs the weekly Happy Days Toddler<br>Group every Thursday. Everyone is<br>welcome at our Arts and Crafts club, which<br>is free of charge, on Friday afternoons.<br>We invite the local primary school to visit<br>during the Christmas term and hold an all-<br>age service on Remembrance Sunday to<br>which local uniformed organisations are<br>invited. In 2022 the church held a film<br>afternoon which was open to all and free to<br>attend.<br>The membership regularly donates food to<br>the Rainbow of Hope, a local homelessness<br>charity, and fundraises for Christian Aid. A<br>Christmas toys and toiletries service is held<br>annually for donations to women’s and<br>children’s charities.|





|||The church also lets out its premises to a<br>number of uniformed and non-unformed<br>organisations and groups. These include<br>and are not restricted to an after-school club,<br>Brownies, Scouts, Cubs, a parenting charity,<br>dance school and the Local Education<br>Authority. The premises can also be hired for<br>birthday parties and training events.|
