This is supported by the enclosed independent examiners report of the London Women's Clinic Foundation. STRUCTURE. GOVERANCE AND MANAGEMENT The Foundation is a registered charity. number 1134485. and Ès constituted under a trust dated 27, November 2009. The foundation was established by an initial gift from the London Women's Clinic. The Foundation doe5 not actively fundraise and seeks to continue the charitable work through gifts from the London Women's Clinic and other Corporate bodies. At the annual ger)eral meeting. the trustees agree the broad strategy and area5 of activity for the Foundation. The day to day administration of grants, and the processing and handling of applications is delegated to the Chairman. All trustees give their time freely and no trustees renumeration was paid in the year. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES The aims and objectives of the Foundation are as follows 11 To advance education for the public benefit, in particular but not exclusively. in the fields of reproductive medicine and fertility and the natural and earth sciences. in the United Kingdom in such ways as the charity thinks fit, including by". al Awarding scholarships, maintenance allowènces or grants tenable at any university, college or nstitute of higher or further education. bl Funding participation at scientific conferences cl Promoting research for the public benefit and publishing the useful results thereof. 21 The prevention of relief of kioverty in developing nations by=_ al Providing grants, items and services to individuals in need andlor charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty. bl PromotinE research for the public benefit into the factors that contribute to poverty and the most appropriate ways of mitigating these. including research into the welfare of children in developing nations. The trustees confirmed that they have referred to the Foundation's aims and objectives in planning future activities and setting the grant making policy for the year. A REVIEW OF ACHIEVEMENTSAND PERFORMANCE The trustees are pleased that the achievements and performance of the Foundation, as set out below, demonstrate concrete progress. Education Project The Foundation continued to be involved in the funding of educational projects whose aim wa5 to advance education to the public benefit. Funding of Diva Medical Group for the inaugural Lesbian Visibility Week in April 2020 The main contribution5 this year were for scholarships at St John5 College, Carnbridge. TRUSTEES'RESPONSIBILITIES IN RELATION TO THE FINACIAL STATEMENTS The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the financi315tatements in accordance with the applicable law and the United Kingdom Accounting Standards. The law applicable to charities in England and wales requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of the affairs of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to..
