Integrate YOUTH FOR CHRIST Trustees, Annual Report for the Period 31" March 2022- 31" March 2023 Summary of the 2022-2023 has been a year of developing new work such as the Chaplaincy Project main achievements and consolidating activities that restarted after the Covid pandemic. The trustees of the charity during continue to be grateful to Steph, Amy and Merja for the brilliant work they do across the reporting period so many differing situations. It was sad to see Helen leave us during the year and a delight to see Stuart take on the admin role. More21ife lunchtime clubs After a return to 'live action, clubs last year, these have continued to develop during 2022/2023. Sadly we have not yet been able to restart lunchtime clubs in Old Buckenham or Long Stratton, due mainly to a lack of volunteers to give us adequate coverage for the club. Harleston, Diss and Thetford have all gained momentum this year as well as generally increased numbers. We have also been able to start two lunchtime clubs in Harleston Academy Primary and Diss Juniors as part of the Chaplaincy project. Youth Cafés All four of our Youth cafes are running but it has been an area of challenge for us this year. Our greatest obstacle has been the recruitment of consistent long term volunteers. However, the team have manfully persevered and in Banham we have seen the first signs of better times ahead. Diss Hi h School 6th Form Informal Mentorin & I:1 Mentorin Our 6th Form Mentoring continues to be welcomed by Diss High school and is working well. We have continued to mentor a couple of students on a I:1 basis Encounter Last year we reported smaller numbers at the newly revived live 'Encounter' event. This year I can report numbers just about back to pre-covid levels and the event is a time of fun and laughter, worship and a message. Orlando Castro has 'built' a band that leads us, and is also building another one in Fressingfield- thank you Orlando. Assemblies We have presented assemblies this year in Harleston Sancroft Academy, Dickleburgh Primary, Garboldisham primary, Bishops High school in Thetford. Pra ers ace We once again provided a Prayer Space but this year it was in the High School at Long Stratton in December. This was extremely well received and a teacher said 'Feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive. They like the time to think about things that they don't usually get to consider in school and liked the atmosphere you created." A student said "The best activity I've done since starting high school" Cha lainc Our Chaplaincy to St. Benets multi academy trust continues apace with a real sense of growing trust. There will be challenges ahead around funding and the expansion of the trust and their desire to deliver chaplaincy across all their schools. Pra Integrate Youth for Christ started in prayer meetings and we still strive to keep prayer at the root of all we do. Our half termly Prayer meetings at the Methodist church are reasonably well attended. Our Prayer walks are usually less well attended but do give us the chance to pray for the areas that we work in. Always feel free to join us. Encounter Cam 2022 Diss Methodist Church, Victoria Road, Diss IP22 4EY. Tel: 01379 309732 InfoCLuintegrateyfc.org.uk http://www.Integrateyfc.org.uk
