This range of service is delivered by partnership working and offering facilities and hosting to a range of providers

Our work is heavily reliant on a core of dedicated volunteers whose skills and commitment makes such a difference to the community. There has been 10 Volunteers throughout the year.

With financial support from the NHS and the local council and grants from organisations such as the National Lottery, we continue to sustain our operations. This support has also enabled us to successfully continue refurbishing our extensive premises with ongoing backing from the community and the volunteers,

Disability Croydon continues to enhance community awareness and understanding of disability by providing training sessions for London Trams staff on 'Disability Awareness and Equality.

Despite the challenges, we persistently strive to secure funding through collaborations with partner organisations and consistently reevaluate our services to ensure we deliver the best possible support to the disabled community.

DISABILITY CROYDON ANNUAL REPORT EXAMINERS REPORT YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024

Independent Examiners Report

I report on the accounts of the Trust for the period ended 31[st] March 2024 which are set out on pages 7 to 11.

Responsibility of Examiner

The Charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to:

Basis of independent examiner's report

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the company and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.

Independent examiner's statement

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

  1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that:

  2. a. proper accounting records are kept; and

  3. b. accounts are prepared which agree with the accounting records. Or

  4. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
