percentsge marks in the entrance testlend of year exams. The progress of pupils receiving scholarships is
reviewed annually to ensure their progress is in line with their abl1￿.e$.
Bursa

The Trustees view our bursary awards as important in helping to ensure children from families who would
otherwise not be able to afford the fees can access the education we offer. Our bursary awards are made
solely on the basis of parental means or to relieve hardship for example in the case of redundancy
However. our School does not have a large endowment and in funding our awards we have to be mindful th8t
we must ensure a balance befv¢een fee-paying parents. and those benefiting from the awards. The bursary
awards range from 10% to 25% remission of fees.
New Develo
ment
The Foundab"on is Currently working on an extension project for the School. The new development will ma ke
use of the unused Bridger House lon the existing School site) as well as the neighbouring houses
purchased by the Foundation in recent years.
The project will provide Al-Burhan with.
Improved access to the School leading to reduced congestion at openinglclosing b'mes and increasing safety
for pupils and other pedestrians.
A spacious reception area. improving the welcoming feel to the School including a meeting room.
A large purpose-built Sports Hall wth accompanying toiletslchanging areas.
This building will also include general purpose large rooms on first and second floors.
Our Architect sent the tender out in August 2025 to get quotations for the demolib'on of 23 & 24 Summer Road
in the phase 1. After evaluation of the quotions, the contarct has been awarded and work started on 17
Septèmber 2025.
AdditionalSy, we were able to purchase tre adjacent Scanlon Propety In October 2024.
We have applied to the Birmingham City Council Planning Department for a change of use. Alhamdulillah. we
also managed to purchase the freehold land across the road opposite to Scanlone Club Building In August
2025.
As a consequence. we are now reviewing the masterplan for the properties with the trustees and architects to
determine the best design consider1ng all of the space available. The new design wll also include a Mosque.
