Safeguardi￿ aloD8 with fina￿14￿ matter4 is now a ¢ODsistht item for ca¢h meetsD8.
The PCC received regul•r reports oo the fin•n¢ial position of St I￿e9,3 and lo maintsin the level
of our contribution to the Common Fund (althou8h this may n¢cd to be revi$itcd depending on any
increased costs as a result of the intetrc8Dum). The increase in energy costs have bad an impact on the
fin4ncAal SIti￿tion. Other issue$ for dis¢ussion included flow. insthllation of a machine to accept
digitsl paymenty and increases in Hall Te4rtaJ rntes and Wa8￿ for employtts to Rfle¢t rises in the London
Living Wa8e.
A$ the yeaT progressed and Fr Jolm's retirement date appro￿￿ the Diocue plans to sell the vicryc
becAme a p￿sSing issue. whil￿ th¢ plans wcre eventually •sid¢ the issue has Dotyet been completely
resolved. The PCC was updated re8arthD8 the prithion of the p￿lS￿ PTofile in re4dines5 for advutsin8
the vacan¢y M thi$ p￿￿$¢d from May ¢)nwards.
Towards the end of the yw Shuoa McP1w￿ was appoillted as the BuiJdAogs Managu and the Pansh
Office was moved to the office in the Hall. Both Sharon and Vicky have done a huge amount of woA(
arranging for the C4)mputcr. phot(wier and lar8¢ number of folders and PWwoJk to be soft￿ and
moved. Some OUtst￿dIng repairs to the Church building identified in the last Qwnquentiial Re]x)rt (datrd
February 2018) were ¢omplrte& but some remain outstan(kn8 will need to be tsckjed in 2024 bef(￿e
the next report is commissioned. They in¢lude roof repair& gullering and stonewort none ffqUiTe

general fimd. In common with maoy other parish¢s in Lond￿ St James. bas been subject to pastoral
reorganisation and amalgamats'on over the ye4t5. This resulted in the acquisition of a Dlunbu of buildin8S

p8rticuIar purpose$. The PCC will continoe to ensure that liquid Tcsources sufficient to meet six months
of expected revenue wsts aff held in the utsrestricled tcserves within the investment portfolio.
