The Anertey Team Ministry Mission Statement- To be disciples of Jesus and to

power of the Holy Spirit

The Parcthial Church COU￿11 has quantified the above statements by prc￿Uang

hopes to be able to demonstrate rts commitment to providing communrty-based
services and support that will be of tenefit to the public, with the aim of
demonstrats'ng the love of Jesus through praclJ'¢al ath'vits'es. The fccus areas indude
those that rdate diredy to the Church corfjregation, for example the gr(Mth of
prayer groups and smal fellowship groups that meet in homes and areas that relate
to the widercommunty, for example serving the poor and marginalised, continuing
to reach out into the community and forging links with local Churches and Christian
organisatsons. In planning the athvibes, the PCC have applied the guidan￿ on
public ben8fft issued by the Chanty Commission.
Wth regard to the PCC'S oblKJations to safeguard chil(fren and vulnerable adults, the
members of the PCC confirm that they have complied Y￿th their duties under sethon

agreed to accept the House of &'sh¢)ps Safeguarthng wlicy.
In common wth many churches. the chanty is heavily reliant on volunteers who
assist in many aspects of church lrfe. The value of their input cannot be quantsfied
and the trustees are very ￿ateful to all those who give of their servi￿$ voluntarily.

Mission Evangelism
ATM is committed to serving both our kxal and wider ￿mmunitieS practically,
spiritually and finanaally The Parc¢hial Church Counal has a policy of giving away
at least 10% of rts annual income, in accordance wth our chnsts.an belief. This is
divided be￿aen a vartety of missions that are UK based and international. We
also seek to support individual members who vAsh to volunteer for speafic projects
that demonstrate their Chrisb'an faith by sUppO￿n9 fund raising events and making
small financial ￿ntributIOnS.
We also seek opportunrties to take the Church into the communrty. At Chnstmas we
go out into the community. For example. every household in the pansh received an
attractive colour invtsts.on to Christmas serviceslevents,. tne Rector lead two teams
to 'bless' returning rail commuters at both train stations in the parish and invite them

Financial Revie
There was an overall surplus for the year 01 £22,795 compared to a surplus
(exduding unrealised gains on investments) in the previous year of £33.853.
It is the policy of the Chjrch that unrestn'cted ftmds, exduding the revaluation
reseNe and fixed asset5. which have not been designated should be maintained at a
level equivalent to betr￿n th￿ and six-month's expenditure. The Parochial
Church Council considers that reserves at this level will ensure that in the event of a
Page 5

significant drop in funthng. they will be able trj continue the Church's current athrties
vthile consideratson is given to ways in add￿'Onal funds may be rased.
Three month's expenditu￿ on unrestncted funds (not irtluding designated funds)
amounts to approximately £e6,(K)O. Reserves on unrestricted funds (not induding
designated funds. fixed assets or revaluation reserve} amounted to £165,CQO which
is again an increase on last year. The Parochial Church Council ccM)tinue to consider
ways in which reserves may be frjrther strengthened.
