The relief of need, hardship and distress among clergy and licensed lay workers who reside or serve (or have resided or served) in the Diocese of York and among dependant relatives or those who have served as housekeepers to those named above.
Objects: 1.To Relieve The Charitable Need, Hardship And Distress Among:a. Clergy Who Reside Or Serve, Or Have Served, In The Diocese Of York And Their Dependants;b. Dependants Of Deceased Clergy Who Were At The Time Of Their Death Resident In The Diocese Of York And Had At Any Time Previous Thereto Served In The Diocese Of York;c. The Fomer Spouses And Partners Of Clergy Who Serve In The Diocese Of York, Who Have Not Subsequently Remarried Or Entered Into A Civil Partnership;d. Stipendiary Licenced Workers Who Serve Or Have Served In The Diocese Of York And Their Dependants;e. Retired, Former Stipendiary, Licenced Lay Workers Who Reside In The Diocese Of York And Their Dependants;f. The Spouses, Partners And Dependants Of Deceased Stipendiary Licensed Lay Workers Who Were At The Time Of Their Death Residents In The Diocese Of York And Had At Any Time Previous Thereto Served In The Diocese Of York; And G. The Former Spouses And Partners Of Stipendiary Licences Workers Who Serve In The Diocese Of York Who Have Not Subsequently Remarried Or Entered A Civil Partnership.2. If And Insofar As The Income Of The Charity Cannot Be Applied Towards The Object Above IT May Be Applied In Furthering The Religious And Other Charitable Work Of The Church Of England In Benefit.
