Clioral evensong remains an integral part of the w015hip in th¢ parish on

ways for this 10 rca¢h a wider audicncc.
During Advent, the choir was invited for an evening to sing Christinas
Carols at Charing Cros% hospital as a way of brii)ging soine ChristiMas
chttr to hospilal stalT. paiienis. and iheir fan)ilies. This ivas followed up
vith a beautiful chil511￿a5 Carol seivi¢e with over 170 pevple in

This sul'plus w88 related to a mirtor decrease in unrestricted funds and a Tnore substantial increase in restricted fuiids IYMIC
and a legacy received in the yeaTI. See Noie 17.
Sunday colle¢tions increased to £8.158 fron) £7251, Standing ord￿ and Gift Aid decteased 10 113,499 froin £20,013. A
significont fa¢tOT was the timing of Gift Aid recovery as we ale collccling financial ycar 2022-23 Bift aid this year. Legacies

Expenditure for thc work and ministry of the church was £291,873 compared to £370.152 in 2022_ Significant factors

A Music Fund was created in 2017 to enable the continuation of the excelleni musical Iradition of the church. The Fund
conliiiues io be invested fully iii ihe CBF Church of England Investment Fund. In line will) the original finaiicing slightly
niore ihaii half of the utiits are regarded as re5tri¢ied and slighily less than half unrestricied. See Bullli?Cf SITeel. The Fund
valutLtion at 31 Decen)ber 2023 was £77.IX)5 an increase of£6.675 duiing the yeai- Iheiiumberof units in the Fund remained

Legucy Policy
The PCC agreed a Legacy Polh¢y. and used ihese funds lo enhance ihe building in 2022. A legacy is not to be used sitnply
in order to ren)ove the c05t of a planiied or inevilable expeEKliture, bllt may allow something already envisioned that is iiol
realsslically possible within the cutreni or foresreable budgei. In limes of particular siress the l)CC i￿aY decide that legacy
funds inay be used for oiigoing expendilure. bul not tu exceed 20Q/(* of the ￿nou]it bequeaihed_ Iii 2023 it wa5 agreed that the
