Significantly people attending church are acbvety growing in their faith, I￿ning in
opportunities lo learn in Bible study gr￿pS and aclivety setve the community.

in church on 22 May 2023.
We have a great deal to be thankfvl to Gtsj for tn 2023. For Ihe ministy of many who have
worked as faithful ￿tnesseS in the community. We thank God for aulhori5ed
leaders. employed stsff and the laity. For Matthew Barker-WcKKY our Director of Music. for
Sue Lloyd. Pre-school Worker. for Brian Yales. Caretaker and for Debbie AggetL our Parish
Administrator, who joined the staff in Juty 2023. For Lay Reade￿, Pam Rainsford.
Pam Simms, and Alan Myatt.
Our young people serve in the sanctuary. operab"n9 the sound desk. playing in the music band
and leading worship. Others are members of unifomied organisaiions aThJ toddler groups.
We Ihank God for them all. average under 16 attendances in church is difficult to
ascertain bul we are confident that their engagement remains $wJnificandy hi9her than the
national average of 5 per week. One yojng adult was Confimied in November 2023.
This year over thirty people engaged wth Bible Study groups, othefs ￿ad discipleship
material at home, many carried out acts of seNice vthin Ihe communty.
All Saints 15 a tW￿e weekly colWvJn w'nl for the G￿ Centre and the Thomas Project
Food Bank. The Christmas Tree Festival raised £4,800 which was split befv￿en the church
and ￿ nominated charitkes, the 1st Streetly ￿1 Saints Brownies and the 31 Scout
Group. This initiative brought people together. reached a ycwnger general￿Tr,
raised publicity and built stronger relationships within the community. We maintained
links with overseas charities. praying for and supporting financk411y Kathryn Mercy
Home in India, The Hoty Child Fffoject in Bethlehem and Christkqn Aid.
The Baptism team. our Pastoral team aThY W&JdiThJ Team continue to offer a wam
welcome lo families. We held 35 baptisms, 4 weddings. 36 funerals and 5 burial of
ashes- each o¢¢asional office an opportunity to minster God's love and grace to others.
Through these offi'ces. people have relumed lo worship and play an
active part in the church. We have succeeded in keeping Ihe church building open on
weekdays for private prayer from 10.(￿arn to 12.(M) r¥y)n. enabling the church lo be a
presence and resource for Ihe community.
Matt Barker-wood, Director of Music and Cho￿ memters wNked wth the incumbent to
lead worship. Brian Witson led the SeThers' Team.
Alan Finch leads the Sound Desk team whose role ha5 increased wilh streaming services.
Many lay members have cleaned and eared for Ihe church. ts grounds and continued
to support the church financialty.
Members of the PCC have contributed to the le*r5hip of the mission of the church.

been very successful.
Duty Wardens have ￿filled the role of and ¢k¥sirwJ church, weioyning, stewardiThJ ar4J
tidying up after the use of the building. Lay members have intenlKwlly kept in ttxth with members
of the congregation. many cf Wh¢￿ have al Imnes d(ffiro Ihe year been unable lo attend church.
We have re-eslablished txjr Hom8 Communw Team. ￿sItIng peorAe at home in pwrs.
The PCC has continued lo be challenged by an ageing regularly aitenthng ¢￿J￿a￿On with younger
mÈmbers attending, but less frequentty. AG¢e$sing Volunteers lo open and cbse the ChU￿h for
publ¢ and private worship. utilisry technology. managiry slaff. arKI maintsinir¥J pastoral support within
Ihe ￿mmunty.
There are signs of encouragement. AtteTrJance. ths¢IF￿eS￿p. a Concern to Islen aThJ
work within Streetly communrty. Income has incfeased again this year.
Every member contributes their gifts lo the t￿Mmunity of Al Sainls. Over ts conwng year
we pray that we will contir4Je to joumey together to share Gtyj's love within tt
community and participate in buibjwig Gorfs kingdom in Streeuy.
Flnancial Summary
The operating loss for 2023 was £17.6681£5.326 in 2(Y22). The *￿ase in losses was driven by
year on year oduCt￿nS in income of £9.182 and increases #) expenditure of £3.160. Day lo day
income has reduced to £123,6141£132,796 in 2022) arKI exF*Nlilure has increased lo £141.282,

As in prev￿￿5 yeats, day lo day k}$￿ wovkl have been sunifKantty hgher wilhcKrt investment
income of £19.009. We have also been fortunate lo benefft from gr3nls t(Mards healing

in investments during the year to use for daty expenillure.

We are blessed to have the generous support of our ￿Ular givers. and a lotal of £43.393 wa$
given VB our Giviro Direct scheme. online banking and envelopes in church. We also raised
over £12,OW from loose plate collections. one off gfft donations and other donations.
Much of this is eligible for tax reclaim. and we re￿iVed an adilional £12,573 in that way.
Stslulory fees, and opth?nal payments for our fxcasional Servi￿ (partieulady weddings
and funerals) raised over £7.000. Our hau is onty a benefit to our parishH?ners, and
hurch groups. bul is 81so an attractive facility for our communty, and we receNed £8,527
in lettings in 2023. As with prewous years. we eontinued our fund raising activities.

Our challenge iri 2024 is to raise slfftient Inc￿ and fundirKJ to enable u$ to further our
work Mth young peopk. To enable that wa now have a Finance Review Group in place lo help
manage our finances. and a Stewardship and fund raisiThJ group to drive in¢ome growlh.
Investm•nt polA¢y
Our aim is lo make the reserves of the Church work for the L4rger WisK)n and Strategy of the
Parish and with Restricted Fund investments to protect the capital valLbe. whilst generating a
good return of income lo redL￿e the pressur8 on the bw and help meet the Parish Share.
In making investments the PCC a￿WayS folbN the ethtsl gubjance of the Church of England.
To minimise risk. Invastments are spread over drfferent Glasses and include equities,
propety and cash, both in the UK and overseas. Day lo day monitoring undertaken by
Ihe Investment group. who rety UP￿ Common Investment Funds and cyjr Inveslment Manager
lo make individual investments.
Reserves pollcy
It 1$ the policy of the PCC to maintain a balance on unrestricted general funds of an
amounl which equates to six n￿nIhS unrestricted payments (excluding parish sharel
lo ¢ovef any emergency situation that rnay arise Irc￿ time to time. This would amount lo
£32.108 {2022 £30,892). The aclual vnrestricted general reserve of £5.871 12022 £2.0201 did not
meet this largel. The PCC will attempt to budget lo rebuikj its reseNes tr) meet

onwng delivery of work and lo invest in ffiJ￿re devewpnts.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Statement of
Recommended Practice.. Aceounts"ng and Rep(xting by Charities preparing their accounts
in accordance wth FRS102. the applicable accounlirKJ standard {FRS1021 and V￿th
the Charities Act 2011.
The charity has taken a(fvantage of eXeMpl￿n in FRS102 from the requirements lo
produce a Cash Flow Stalerrent on the grourKls that il is nol a lar9e charity.
The fi'nancial Statements have been prepared un(ler the hjstorical cost
nvenlion except for the valuation of investment assels. which are sl)crMI al
market value. The financial slalemenl$ include all transact￿n5. assets and
liabilities for which th8 PCC is responsible in law. They do r￿1 Include the accounts
of ¢hur¢h groups that owe their morn affilkglton lo another W. nor those that are
informal gatherirys of church member5.
Funds
Unrestrlcted funds
Unreslrictad funds s￿ general funds whth can be used for PCC ordinary purposes
- Desi9naled fund is a geneial furKI which Ihe PCC has deswjnated for particular
purp09es. 11 is made up of ts¥o donations. a lega￿ lo the church by Pat Bowker,
and a legacy from Anne Bache. Th8 fornw ts used primarity for the repair and upkeep
of Ihe chureh, the ehurth hall and its fumishings. The latter is des￿nated for the promotion
of famity Wofk within the parish. Any surplus income may be applied to meet the day lo day
expenses of the church or for any other charilabk rt*Jecls. The capital lo be used foi
expenditure on the church or ¢hu￿h hall. or for the costs of a famity ther.
Restrlcted funds
- Income funds may only be expended on the specrfK obpct for which they were given

Incomlng Resources
Where the PCC does not invest seporalely for each fund. interest is apPort￿ned to
individual funds based on the fund bakn¢es remaining at the erKJ of year.
Planned giving, collections arKI donath￿s are rwnis&J then re¢eived. Tax refunds
are recognised when the incoming resource lo which they relate is received. Grants and
specific funds raised are accounted forwhen the PCC spends the funds. Legacies and

Moveable church furnishirrfJs are held by the vKar and churchwardens in special trust for
the PCC and those which require a faculty for disp￿)SaI as inalienable propety are listed
in the ehurch's inventory, which can be inS￿le(l during the hours that the Church offi¢e is
open. For anything acquired prior lo 2000 there is insuff￿19n1 cost inf0m￿tIOn available
arKI Iherefore such assets aré not valued in Ihe financial statements.
Equipm8nl used within the th￿￿h premises is depwialed on a slraighl line basis over
4 years. with the exception of the organ which was vnillen off over 20 years.
Individual items of equipment with a purchase prTrce of £1.000 N ￿$$ are written off
