## Badminton Road Methodist Church 10. Reports from organisations to the A G M. a. Finance – in the last Connexional Year we were in a relatively good place with a small operating surplus. In the six months to date we are roughly on budget- the six-month figures were accepted. b. Property and Booking – continued to receive a healthy number of bookings throughout the year. We noted the appointment of a new cleaner and gave thanks to F and N for the work they have undertaken. From the Quinquennial there was a recommendation for an annual inspection of the flat roof and some work has taken place to repair a leak in the coffee area. In the next five years we need to look at replacing some of the south gable fascia which was damaged in a storm. Work also needs to be done to the Lower Hall flooring. Thanks were expressed to Tony E for help with repairs. c. Pastoral Committee – 43 members and 20 adherents. Dorothy M died during the year. d. Messy Space – still a thriving group in the life of the church and appreciated by the community. e. Wednesday Cafe – 56 regular attendees with three new members this year. The majority of the team are Church members. We appreciate grants from the Parish Council towards the work of the group. f. Thursday Fellowship – continues to meet as a Prayer Group. g. Friday Fellowship – meets on a monthly basis with conversation and a meal. h. Turnaround Bristol – now have planning permission for work to provide accommodation on the site. Support from other organisations has increased since the separation from the Circuit. i. Widows Group – a small group which continues to meet for coffee and lunch monthly. J. reminded us that we are partnered with Barnabus Aid which supports persecuted Christians and collect food on a Wednesday morning.
