The PCC is also spiritually responsible for the maintenance of the church The PCC is committed to enabling a8 many people as possible to worship at our Ghurch arKI to become part of our parish communty at Great Wyrley. The PCC maintains an overview of worship throughout the parish and makes Suggestions on how our services can invotve the many groups that live within our parish. Our services and worship put faith into practlce through prayer. scripture. music ahd sacrament. Also. through non sacr8merrt81 activities of hosprtality and fellow8hip aim to reach non churched members of the communty. Publlc Bonafft The trustees of the PCC are aware of ts Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit in The Advancement of Religion for the Public Benefft and have had regard to it in their administration of the Charity. The trustees believe that, by pr<)moting the work of the Church of England in the Ecdesiastical Parish of Great Wyrfey it helps to promote the whole mission of the Church (pastoral, evaryelists'c. social and ecumenical) more effectively, within the Ecdesiastical Parish, and that in doirg so rt WOVKle8 a ben8fft to the public by: Providing facilities for public worship, pastoral care arKI spiritual. moral and intell8thal development. both for its members and for anyone who wrshes to benefft from what the Church offers,. and Promoting Christian values and service by members of the Church in and to their communities, to the benefit of individuals and 80ciety as 8 whole. Finance Revlew Total income is slightly reduced from 2020, mainly due to reduced giving arKI reduc￿ wedding and funeral fees. Total expenditure is substantially lower in 2021. Parish Share. now Common Fund, was substantially reduced in 2021, due to a change in deployment. This has resulted in a reduclion in the amount paid of £25,614, which has helped expenditure greatly. Reserves Policy It is PCC policy to try to maintain a balance on free ￿ServeS (net current assets) which equates to at least three months unrestricted payments. ThN8 is equivalent to £16,500. ft is hetd to smooth OLrt fluduations in cash flow and to meet emergencies. The balance of the free reserves at the year end was £22.013 which is higher than this target. The PCC are aware of this but Nvant to keep the additional funds in these uncertain times and they aren't sure what challenges may lie ahead. The Reserves Policy will be review8d each year by the PCC to ensure that 3 months Still a reasonable target.

Safeguarding The PCC believe they have fulfilled their duty under sec*ion 5 of the Safeguarding and Clergy Disciplin8 Measure 2016 (duty to have due regard to House of Bishops, guidance on safeguarding children and vulnerable adults). Reporting Serious Incidents A Serious Inudent is an adverse event. whether actual or alleged. which results in or risks signfficant harm to the charity's beneficiaries, employees, office holders. volunteers or to others who come into contact with the charity through its work, loss of the charity's money or assets. damage to the charty's property or hami to the charity's work or reputation. The trustees a￿ not aware of any Serious Incidents in the last year The Coronavirus Pandemic 2021 was another partiujlarly challenging year ¥￿th continuing disruption caused by th8 coronavirus pandemic and the consequent national lockdowns. restrictions on routine services, weddings and funerals a8 well as fundraising and other communty events planned during the year. The PCC have tried to remain positive throughoLrt to support th8 communty a8 as the fabric of our wonderful church buildings and hall. Risk Management The Church Wardens Cary out regular Health arKI Safety Reviews arKI regularly inspect premi868 for potential hazards. We have safeguarding policies in place for thild protection and for work with vulnerable alutts, including rigorous DBS checking of Staff and volunteers. Our insurances ar8 roviewed annually to ensure adequate cover. An infomial review of any new risks which may impact the work of the Church in the Parish is ongoing. Structure, Governanco and Management The PCC is a Body Corporate established by the Church of England and is a Charity excepted from registration with the Charity Commission. The PCC is govemed by the Parochial Church Council Power8 Measure (1956) as amended that came into effect on V January 1957. and the Church Representatton Rule8 (contained in Schedule 3 to thè Synodical Govemment Measuro 1969 as amended). The method of appointment of the PCC members is set olrt in the Church Representation Rule8. The Council comprises the Incumbent, the Churchwardens, a representative of the Reader8, th08e elected to the Deanery Synod, and other memtr￿ who are elected at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, by those on the Electoral Roll. The PCC members receNe training from cour88s run by the Diocw. Membern of the congregation are always urged to join the Electoral Roll. and to stand for election to the PCC. The PCC members are responsible for making decisions on all matters of general concern and importance in the parish, and for all financial matters. The PCC meet four tim88 a year. The Parochial Church Council of Great Wyrley Financial Statsments for the Year Ended 31st December 2021 Accounting Policies The financial statements of the PCC have been prepared in accordance with the chU￿h Accounting Regulations 2LI)6 using the Receipts and Payments basis. There may be minor discrepancies in totals as the Pen￿ we not being 8h<AYn. Flxgd A880ts Consecrated and benefi¢e property 16 not induded in the accounts by s.10(2)(a)&(C) of the Charities Act 2011. Moveable church fumishings held by the Vicar and Churchwardens on S￿la1 trust for the PCC and which require a faculty for disposal are inalienabfe property, listed in the Church's invent<)ry, which can be inspected (at any reasonable time). For anything acquired prior to 2000 there is insufficient cost infomiation available and therefore such assets are not valued in the finanaal statements. Church Hall - since the dosure of the site as a school in 1884, the property has been used for the benefrt of the parish. The site is in the process of being regislered with the LarKI Registry in the name of the Lichfield Diocesan Trust as Custodian Trustees on behalf of th8 wish. If the registration is 8UCC8ssful. then the asset will be included in future financial statements at the registration value. Descrlptlon of Funds Unrnstrlcted funds are income funds of the PCC that are available for SFending on the general purposes of the PCC, including amounts designated by the PCC for fixed assets for its own use or for spending on a future project and which are therefore not induded in its Yree reserves" as disdosed in the trustees, annual report.
