Members of the thufch are accepted in

to-day running of the churth's work and witness,
and the financial and legal aspects of the charity.

The Scheme. Fmiously known as the BaFrtisl Minisie￿, Penston FurKI. aarted in 1925. ￿ was
close(1 to future accrnal of defined beneffts on 31 Decernber 2011. Prior to Ihis date the main
b8nerrt FKovNJed through the Defined 8enefft (DB) Plan was a pension of one eightielh of final
Minimum Pensionable Income for each ye8r of pensionatle service t(Wher with additbonal
pension in respect of wemiums paid on Pensionable Income in excess of Minrnum Pensionaf
Income.

From January 2012. pension wision is being m•Je through the Defin&J Contsibution (DC) Plan
within the Scheme. In general. membets pay 8% of their Pensionable Incnme and ernployerys pay
6% of members. Pensionable Inc(xme into inthvidual pension ac£ounts, which are operdted a￿1
managed on behalf ol the Pension TnJsÈee by BToadsione Corporate Benefrts thited. In ad(Jition,
the ernployer pays a further 4% of Pensionable Income lo cover Death in se￿￿e Benefits.
adffnnistration costs. and an assoclate(J insurance policy which provxles income PWDtedion for
Scheme membefs rf Ihey are unable to Wofk due to long-temi incapacity. This income protection
policy has been insured by the 88Ptlsl Union of Great 8fitain with Aviva Limrted. Membef5 of Ihe
Basic Sedion pay reduced coniributions of 5% of Pensionable Income. and Iheir ernploye￿ atso
P8y a total of 5%.
In Oriober 2024. the insurance company Just Group comrlete(l a Ixry out of the ll8tmht￿ of the
