The circuit was able to maintain iys level of staffing this year. Following an extended period of ill-health we were very pleased when one presbyter was able to return to work on a phased return. Support for them and their churches continues. Our Superintendent Minister entered the stationing process and indicated that she would Ilke to move out of the clrojit in August 2025. The clrcuit was pleased to leam that an invltatlon to come to Kendal in September 2025. Issued to a presbyter currentty statloned In the Southport area. was accepted. The sale of iwo forn)er chapels pro8res5ed slowly during the year, with a tender bein8 accepted on one and an offer to buy the other being received. Due process to progress the sales then ensued. The ar¢ult Meetlng recelved ènd agreed various grnnt application5. Following the Methodist Corrference's dectslon to allow the 8 Methodlst drcults In Cumbrla to merge and become one ￿ngle Cumbria circult on I. September 2025 a conslderable amount of detalled and tlme consumln8 work was done by circult officers and #aff throu8hout the year. All thi5 was In addltlon to the regular work of the drcult In the areas of safeguard1￿ equallty dlverslty and Inclusloni property. flnan￿ and data protectlon. As the Kendal drcuSt wlll no longer exist after 31° Au8U5t 2025 a short art of worshlp celebratlng all that had been done in the cirojit over the years was held in June at the last scheduled meeting of the managing trustees. In July the arcult said farewell to our Superintendent minister at a s￿131 seNSce followed by an aftemoon tea.
