Activities

The orchestra performs 6 concerts per year in Derby and the surrounding area. These comprise four concerts with classical works, one at Christmas with popular music for families and one aimed at children. The orchestra is keen to widen access to both its players and to audiences. We offer concessions to seniors and students both on players' subscriptions and on the entrance fee to most concerts.

Objects: 1 To Advance, Improve, Develop And Maintain Public Education In, And Appreciation Of, The Art And Science Of Music In All Its Aspects By Any Means The Trustees See Fit, Including Through The Presentation Of Public Concerts And Recitals;2 To Further Such Charitable Purpose Or Purposes As The Trustees In Their Absolute Discretion Shall Think Fit But In Particular Through The Making Of Grants And Donations.
