increased payroll costs through o>ering competitive hourly rates to the sta> and increased costs of living. During this financial year, we continued carrying out several building repairs to make the place more welcoming and enjoyable for the children and sta>.

We lost some members of sta> this year but, overall, we had a relatively stable sta> year. We continued to make a push to be more sustainable as a charity and to consistently o>er healthy food to the children. We introduced a hot snack for children who are picked up at 6pm which has been greatly received by both children and parents/carers. The hot snack helps parents/carers who pick up the children at 6pm and take them directly to other activities but also provides nutrition at a time of the evening when children are usually hungry.

We continue to try hard as a committee to keep two things in mind with all our decisions; the service we provide as part of a community and making Oscars a welcoming and happy place for sta> and families.

Our ambition is to replace our current building with a new one in the near future and we will continue working towards this aim.
