•To minister the Gospel for the advancement of spiritual
growth, mental development, and the social welfare of
people of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities through
social cohesion.
•Preaching the Gospel to reach those who are affected by
social disorder, with the intent to bring about reform through
the preaching of the Gospel.
During the year 2024, the church sought to promote spiritual
growth as well as the social welfare of diverse communities by
offering regular fellowship, pastoral support, and activities that
foster an inclusive community. Activities were designed with the
intent to encourage followership and build a welcoming
environment.
When planning our yearly activities, we kept in mind the Charity
Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustee and
ministers’ meetings.
The main activities are as follows:

Regular church services

Pastoral care
The following activities benefit the church’s followership as well as
the wider community:
Regular worship services involve praying with individuals in need of
support and faith-based study groups that nurture both personal
and collective spiritual development. The church plays an important
role in nurturing new believers in the faith, offering ongoing
teaching, encouragement, and a supportive environment for the
public to integrate.
Pastoral care is also one of the main focuses within this ministry. It
provides holistic support to the public, nurtures emotional
well-being, builds resilience, and promotes a sense of belonging. It
ensures individuals feel safe, valued, and supported in both their
personal and spiritual journeys.

During these sessions, auxiliary leaders together with appointed ministers take an active role in facilitating conversation, offering welfare check-ins, and ensuring that all participants feel welcomed, supported, and valued. This practice reflects the ministry’s dedication to nurturing both spiritual and social well-being, while reinforcing the church’s mission of inclusivity and pastoral care.

On occasion, members of the ministry have prepared and served authentic Caribbean meals, bringing cultural richness and warmth to the fellowship shared around the table. In addition to food provision, the ministry has contributed generously by donating clothes, books, and toys, ensuring that service users and their families benefit from resources that nurture both physical well-being and social inclusion.

Beyond the provision of meals and material donations, volunteers have offered their time and presence before the kitchen opens, engaging with service users to provide encouragement, welfare check-ins, and a listening ear. This early support helps to foster trust and a welcoming environment, ensuring that individuals feel valued and cared for even before the formal service begins.

both compassion and responsibility, as they work diligently to promote the well-being of service users and to encourage sustained abstinence from alcohol and drugs.

Through their active involvement, trustees provide guidance, encouragement, and oversight that ensures recovery services remain rooted in integrity, accountability, and care. They engage with individuals on their recovery journeys, offering practical support, spiritual encouragement, and a listening ear, while also helping to shape programmes that foster resilience and long-term stability.

This voluntary service is not only an expression of governance but also a demonstration of lived experience and faith-based values in action. By giving freely of their time and energy, trustees strengthen the partnership between the ministry and the wider community, ensuring that recovery services in Haringey remain a beacon of hope, empowerment, and transformation for those seeking freedom from addiction.

Independent examiners report on the accounts

Report to the Trustees/members of: Gospel Outreach Ministries

Charity Number: 1133640

On Accounts for the year ended: 31[st] December 2024

The church’s Trustees are responsibilities for the preparation of the accounts. The church’s Trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

It is my responsibility to:

My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the charity commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters.

Recommendations:

To ensure the church remains compliant with the Charity commission and makes the next independent examination as smooth as possible, it is highly recommended to modernise the record keeping process. Moving away from paper-heavy systems reduces the risk of lost data, and ensures the audit trail is easy to follow.

In connection with my examination, no material matters have come to my attention which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

  1. The accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the charities Act; or

  2. The accounts did not accord with the accounting records.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Signed: EFrancique

Mrs. Esther Francique
