Site safety and malntenwnce to preserve the buudlng and facilities
To %upport compliance with its statutory obligations the Tn￿1 commi5SiODed professional risk &sse&sments for both Fire
Safety and L¢gionella Safety.
Profc&sional repair8 were aoain undertaken to the ageing playground equipment. Of the I I playground installations, 4
haN'e now seen significant repairs in the l&st 3 years. One further iteni needs n￿jOr refuVols￿l]en1 within die coining
year, bul die work is considered ￿ I￿. pos5ible'in house,.
Community Involvement
Longhoughion Parish Louncil, RAF Boulmer alld the Trust joindy organised a Summer Fe* on one ofthe playing field.q
which was widely enjoyed by the whole community.
The Trnst fundcd thc use of the 3G pitch for a wcckly Friday evening kIck-a￿Ut scssion, supoTriscd by a qualified
coach. for young people between the ages of I l and 16. From Sep￿￿ther 2024 the RAF liave thken over the funding.
The Trust and the Parish Council continued to offer a volunteer-lrf free Warni Ilub eiient including soup and
retr&%hments on Thursday lunchtimes Ihroughout the win￿.
Extensive Work Vid the P￿Ish Council rcsuitcd in a twice-weeldy prr&criptiun pick up scrvÉcc frum thc Cummullity
Centre tor Longhoughton r&sidents. It is in￿llded that this service bc Compl￿nented ncxt year with droTrin NHS Hcaith

Environmental and energy efficiency initiatives
September 2024 the cofftinissioning of 8 32kWp solar PV and batiffi￿ installation. The inslallation is owned and
maintdtned by Northumberland Community Energy Limited (N￿L) under a su&léase from the Tn￿t. This installation
Provides l<)ng-term PTice stability most of th¢ Tn￿t'S electricity demand (20 yws at 15plkWh for a)ergy provided
direct from Pvs or from the associatcd batteri&s).
TEie Tiust continucs to PUTSUC cver-greater ¢ncrgy cfficiency cnvironmentally friendly actions. An cxtcmal enLrgy
aiidit is planned, and the TnLSt is supporting au initiative from the tx)nghougliton Community Gardeners for a
Communily Orchard tn the Cenire'5 grounds.

the Will ol. the Ninth Duke of Northumb¢rland and the Tenth Duke's rcfttrenlial settleinent (detailed as Northumberland
Estates in the financial reGor(Is). This does not aff¢rt the acluai c8sh flow of the TnLSt.

Astrovturf foolball pitch. The Trusl, in conneciion with the Fooiball Foundation. has agreed (haL the pitch is now in n¢ed
of repla¥emenl and as detailed elsewhere in thts annual report this project will require in excess of £160,000. The
cxisting sinkingy fwid will bc uscd and thc Trust has submitted requests foT fii?ancial support to the Fooiball Founilati()n
and variouq charitable tnlsts. The Garfield Weston chariry has given £1 0.000 which is vcry wclcomc. Subjcct to thcrc
