Activities
This charity has now become active on the successful completion of the transfer of assets from the old unincorporated association of the same name. The main function of the charity is the management of Westfield Park, Longhoughton's sport and community centre. The charity will also be expected to play its part in planning for the future progress of the local community.
Objects: The Charity's Objects Are To Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Longhoughton And Surrounding Areas, In Particular Young And Elderly Persons, Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Political Religious Or Other Opinions, By Associating Together The Said Inhabitants And The Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advance Education, And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Other Leisure-Time Occupation With The Objective Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Said Inhabitants.
