Appointment of new Trustees
Members of the existing board of trustees suggest a few names and those agreed upon by majority
are appointed at the AGM.
Progress
A lot of work has been carried out in the masjid in the last few years this includes completing the 4th
floor. Central heating and fixing screens on the top floor. Re carpeting 31d floor fixing ceiling in the 3rd
floor. Installing full internet in full masjid including upgrading CCTV and installing new screens on lrt
and 2nd floor. Installed new fire alarm system including all new detectors as per spec. We a150
purchased another property so we can now house two imams without paying extra rent. Due to
wear and tear the roof started leaklng we have made substantial repairs the flat roof still needs
attention. The PA system and external speakers are being upgraded we have a working radio system
We have also tried to improve the teaching for children and adults by introducing more classes and
havln8 trustees appointed to this purpose only.
Wlth the use of the masjld increasing due to its popularity and the growth of the local Muslim
population, we have Introduced two Jamat for Juma and have taken other measure5 SO that we m:
It easier for users and stay within the health and safety guidelines.

Statement of Trustees Responslbilities
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees Annual Report flnancial statements in
accordance with appllcation law and United Kingdorn Accounting Standardslunited Kingdom
Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
Law applicable to charities In England and Wales requires the Trustees to prepare financial
statements for each fi'nanclal year which give a true and fair view of charity and of the incorning
resources and applications of resources of the charity for that year. In preparing these financial
statements the Trustees are required to .
Selett sultable accounting policies and then apply them consistently
Observe the methods and principles in the charities SORP
Make Judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent
State whether application UK Accounting Standards have been followed subject to any material
departures dlsclosed and explalned in the financial statement and
Prepare the Flnancial statements on the going concern basis unless It is inappropriate to presume
that the Trust wlll contlnue In operation.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable
accuracy at any tlme the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financlal
statements comply with the Charities Act 1993,2006 and 2011 and the CharitylAccounts and reports)
Regulatlons 2008. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for
takln8 reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
