Summary of the objects of the Charity set out in its governing document TAR March 2012 The Friends of Birchfield exists to advance the education and wellbeing of pupils at Birchfield School by raising funds and sUPPOrting artivities that enhance the educational experience and strengthen the school community- During the year, the charity organised a wide variety of events that not only raised vital funds but also brought together pupils. parents, staff, families and the wider community. These activities contributed to the public benefit by supporting educational opportunities, promoting social inclusion and enhancing the wellbeing and development of children attending the school. One of the highlights of the year was the Winter Lights Festival, which once again provided an enjoyable community event for families and supporters. The Friends of Birchfie1d also funded school discos for both the Pre-Prep and Prep School pupils, providing entertainment, refreshments and opportunities for children to socialise and celebrate together. The annual Summer Fair was another successful event, featuring a range of stalls and entertainment for families and visitors. The popular pre-loved uniform shop continued to support families by offering affordable school uniform items while promoting sustainability through reuse. Summary ofthe main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit) The year concluded with the Summer Ball, held at Birchfield School. Thi5 event was very well attended and successfully raised funds to support both Birchfield School and Molly Ollys Wishes, with some of the proceeds from the raffle donated to the charity. In addition, a range of end-of-year activities were organised for pupi15 across the school. Senior School pupils enjoyed an evening of zorbing, an outdoor cinema experience and pizza, while Prep School pupils took part in a disco and pizza event. Pre-Prep pupils were entertained by a magician. These activities helped to celebrate the achievements of pupils, promote wellbeing and create positive shared experiences. The Friends of Birchfield also hosted an Afternoon Tea event for parents, extended family members ar)d friends, providing further opportunities to strengthen relationships within the school community. Fund5 raised by the charity enabled the provision of educational enrichment activities, including author days for pupils across the whole school and a Medical Mavericks day. These events provided inspiring learning experience5, broadened pupils, horizons and supported the school's educational aims. This combination of fundraising, educational enrichment and community- building activities has enabled the charity to continue delivering significant benefits to Birchfield School pupils and their families throughout the year.
