**Objects:** 3 The objects of the Charity are:3.1 the provision of housing accommodation including Social Housing for women who:3.1.1 are in need hardship and distress; and3.1.2 are aged 55 or over; and3.1.3 agree to abide by the following values which are based on the Christian faith:(a) kindness, consideration and compassion to others;(b) community spirit and co-operation; and(c) respect for everyone's rights, differences, dignity and choices.3.2 Such charitable purposes for the benefit of the residents as the trustees decide.3.3 In this Article 3 Social Housing shall have the same meaning as in section 68 of the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 as such provision may be amended or replaced from time to time.

**Activities:** The Sheppard Trust is an almshouse charity.  We provide housing for older women in need of low cost, comfortable and secure homes.   Priority is given to those in greatest need.   Residents live independently with the security of knowing their homes will remain affordable and well-maintained, and that support is on hand when needed: in emergencies or to help maintain independent living.
