Responslbilltles of trusteès
As explained more fully in the Trustees. Responsibilities Statement set out on page 5, the Trustees are
responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with United Kingdom Accounting

Trustees determine is necessary lo enable the preparation of financial statements that are free from material
misstatement, whether due to fraud or error.
In preparing the financial statements, the Trustees are responsible for assessing the Foundation's ability lo
continue as a going concern, disclosing, as applicable, matters related lo going concern and using the going
con¢ern basis of accounting unless the Trustees either intend to liquidate the Foundation or lo cease
operations, or have no realistic allemalive bul lo do so.
Audltor'$ respon$ibilities for the audlt of the flnanclal statèments
Our objectives are to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are
free from material misslalemenl, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditorfs report that includes
our opinion. Reasonable aSSu￿￿ce is a high level of assurance, bul is not a guarantee that an audit
conducted in accordance with ISAS (UK} will always delect a material misstalemenl when it exists.
Misslalemenls can arise from fraud or error and are considered material if, individually or in the aggregate,
they could reasonably be expected lo influence the economic decisions of users taken on the basis of these
financial statements.
As part of an audit in accordance with ISAS IUKI. we exercise professional judgement and maintain
professional sceplicism throughout the audit. We also..
Identify and assess the risks of material misstatement of the financial statements. whether due lo fraud or
error, design and perform audit procedures responsive lo those risks, and obtain audit evidence that is
sufficient and appropriate lo provide a basis for our opinion. The risk of not detecting a material
misslalement resulting from fraud is higher than the one resulting from error. as fraud may involve
collusion, forgery, intentional omissions, misrepresenlalions. or the override of internal control.
Obtain an understanding of internal control relevant to the audit in order to design audit procedures that
are appropriate in the circumstances, but not for the purpose of expressing an opinion on the
effectiveness of the Foundation'$ internal control.
EvalLtale the appropriateness of accounting policies used and the reasonableness of a¢¢ounting
estimates and related disclosures made by the Trustees.
Conclude on the appropriateness of the Tfuslees, use of the going concern basis of accounting and,
based on the audit evidence obtained. whether a material uncertainty exists related to events or
conditions that may cast significant doLJbt on the Foundation's ability lo continue as a going concern. If
we conclude that a materia5 uncertainty exists, we are required lo draw allenlion in our auditors, report lo
the related disclosures in the financial statements or. if such disclosures are inadequate. lo modify our
opinion. Our conclusions are based on the audit evidence obtained up lo the dale of our auditors, report.
However. future events or conditions may Gause the Foundation lo cease to ¢ontinue as a going concern.

Auditor's rosponsibllltl8$ for the audlt of the flnanclal statements Icontinuod)
Evaluate the overall presentation, structure and content of the financial slatemenls, in¢luding the
disclosures, and whether the financial statements represent the underlying transactions and events in 8
manner that achieves fair presentation.
We communicate with those charged with govemance regarding, among other matters, the p18nned scope
and liming of the audit and signifi'cant audit findings, including any significant deficiencies in internal control
that we identify during our audit.
The extent to whi¢h the audlt was considered capable of detgctlng irregularlties, includlng fraud
Irregularities. including fraud, are instances of non-compliance with laws and regulations. We design
proceduies in line with our responsibilities, outlined above, to detect material misststements in respect of
irregularities, including fraud. The exlenl to wh¢ch our prO￿dureS are capable of detecting irregularities.
including fraud is explained below.
The objectives of our audit a￿ lo obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence regarding compliance with laws
and regulations that have a direct effect on the determination of material amounts and disclosures in the
financial statements, to perform audit procedures lo help identify instances of non-compliance with other laws
and regulations that may have a material effect on the financi81 slalemenls, and to respond appropriately to
identified or suspected non-compliance with laws and regulations identified during the audit.
In relation to fraud, the objectives of our audit are to identify and assess the risk of material misstatement of
the financial slalemenls due lo fraud, lo obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence regarding the assessed
risks of material misslalemenl due lo fraud through designing and implementing appropriate responses and
to respond appropriately to fraud or suspected fraud identified during the audit.
However, it is the primary responsibility of the Trustees lo ensure that the entity's operations are ¢ondueted in
accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations and for the prevention and detection of fraud.
We obtsined an understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks that the Foundation operates in,
focusing on provision5 of those laws and fegulalions that had a direct effect on the delerminalion of material
amounts and disclosures in the financial stalemenls. These included compliance with the Companies Act
2006 and the Charities Act 2011.
Our testing included, but was not limited to-.
enquiries of the Trustees regarding known or suspect instances of non-compliance with laws and
regulations..
enquiries of the Trustees regarding known or suspect instances of irregularities, including fraud..
undertaking analytical procedures to identify unusual or unexpected relationships..
review of minutes of the Trustees meetings throughout the period.,
lesling the appropriateness of journal entries and other adjuslmenls., and
agreement of the financial statements disclosures lo underlying supporting documentation.
Owing lo the inherent limitations of an audit there is an unavoidable risk that some material misstatement of
the financial slalemenls may not be detected, even though the audit is properly p18nned and performed in
accordance with ISAS IUKI. However, the principal responsibility for ensuring that the financial slalemenls
are free from material misst8tement, whether caused by fraud or error, rests with the Trustees who should not
rety on the audit to discharge those functions.
In addition, as with any audit, there remains a higher risk of non-detection of fraud, as this may involve
collusion, forgery, intentional omissions, misrepresenlalions, or the override of internal controls. Our audit
procedures are designed lo delect material misstatement. We are not responsible for preventing non-
compliance or ffaud and cannot be expected lo d8te¢t non-compliance with all laws and regulations.
