Bransgore Churches Together Coffee House
Registered Charity Number 1133247
Annual Report for the year ended 30[th] November 2022
We emerge from the Covid period with renewed enthusiasm and hope for our aim and vision of serving the local Bransgore community and the many visitors who come from out of the area. We celebrated our 25[th] anniversary in September with a month of special prices, this proved very successful both in terms of raising awareness and improving revenue. In addition, we celebrated the Diamond Jubilee with some special menu items. With the closure of the local Methodist Church we are no longer a collaboration of three churches, but two. This will make no practical difference with the commitment of Bransgore Community Church and St Mary’s (Church of England) to the vision of the Coffee House being as strong and determined as ever.
As with many charity enterprises that rely on volunteers we continue to seek new ways of attracting help. With the price of ingredients rising we have reviewed our selling prices and made some minor changes; we believe that we still offer excellent value for money. Plans are in place to make some modifications to the exterior of the building to make it more attractive and practical, particularly for those with limited access. We are blessed to have Vicky Stimpson as our Manager and her energy and enthusiasm is very much appreciated by the Trustees and customers alike. We look forward to a challenging year ahead with rising costs and discretionary domestic spending under pressure.
There has been one change in the trustees during the year with Jacqueline Russell stepping down.
The current trustees are as follows:
Rev Phil Dixon (Chair) Phil Cole (Treasurer) Rev Benjamin Sargent Anne Ramsbottom Jennifer Hutchins
