Wales police staff member. Applications are assessed on a rolling
basis and th8 Trust aims to respond to applicants within four-six
weeks. All Applications are made via the online funding portal 'flexi
grant htt s'.11 oliceandcrimecommissionerforsouthwales.flexi
rant.

Once an application is submitted it is assessed using the following
process..
1. The application is initially checked by the Commissioner's
staff for due diligence and financial scrutiny. Applicants may
be contacted for additional information to support this
screening. The applications are then discussed with Force
colleagues before being presented to the Trustees.
2. If the application is deemed eligible for consideration by the
Truste8S, it is then reviewed by the grants suwroup at th8
next appropriat8 meeting or by email
exchange rf there is an immediate consensus view.
3. Applications are assessed against our Outcomes
Fr8mework. The grants sub-group assesses to what exlenl
the application helps young people make more positNe lif8
choices, have belter relationships and experience improv8d
ment81 and physical wellbeSng.
4. Once the final decision has be8n made. the applicant is
notffied wa the online portal.
5. Successful applicants will be sent a letter setting out the
lerms and conditions of funding and asked to sign and
retum a Grant Acceptance fomi.
6. All grant r8cipi8nts n88d to submit a report al the end of
their project, providing details on the activlty undertaken. the
outcomes that were achieved and how the grant was
spent.

Funds for the Trust were initially raised
through gala events. sponsorship and
individual donations. In 2013 the Police and
Crime Commissioner was invited to join the
Trust {replacing the Police Aulhorty). The
Commissioner has supplemented the
Trust's funds with income generated from
the Police Propety Act fund.
As of Autumn 2020, the Trust began
actively fundraising from SWP and PCC
staff, local businesses and trusts and
foundations to support grant activity. The
PoliGe and Crime Commissioner will reduce
th8 level of Investment from the Police
Propety Act fund on a yearly basis as
fundraising activty inu8ases.
All Trustees are expected to contribute
towards tha fur)draising activity of the Trust.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **DD / MM / YYYY** . 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
