Circuit Trustee report 2020121 Review of Clrcult actlvttles The work of the cir￿lt has been severety affected duriNJ this year by the ￿ron8VIruS pandemic. This has curtailed and reshaped many of our activities. During this drffrcult period the ctrojit h8s provided pradical SUPFM)rt and advice to the thurches of the arcuit, enabliro them to function as best they can within the thanging restridions and regulations. In March 2020 the members of the arcuit meeting, the trustees of the tharity, delegated their powers to the Cirujit Leadership Team, as the trustees were not able to meet effectively. The CLT met online and reported its meetings to the trustees. Decisions as to vthen Lurches could reopan when reguiats'ons allowed were left to the local congregations with support and guidan￿ from the ar￿1t. The arojit continued to provide preachers and other resources wt)en required and ￿then possible. The ar￿ll also distributed weekly printed and online worship materials as well as beginning a weekly Zoom servi￿. These are still ongoing. The circuit has continued to suprmjrt and oversee govemance matters such as Safeguarding and GDPR, providing training and guidance across the circuit for those who require it. Our support for the circuit overseas project, Bees Beds and Blessings, has conts'nued. This project aims to support the work of a women's hoslel in Jamaica through the provision of beehives for the produdion and sale of honey to make the work there sustainable in the long terni. The circuit also SUPF)Orted lund raising for a Nmber of other charities: All Vk Can, Methodist Homes and Adion for Children among others, and has cx)ntinued its grant of £2,000 per year for the Ely branch of Christians against Poverty. The circuit also pledged to help CAP in praclicAI ways. The circuit has supported the churches of the CIr(￿lt by varvjus grants for fepairs and improvements to buildings. This year the total grants paid out was in the region of £2885. Final approval of this report: ￿Defr2021
