ThetrusteeswhoarealsodirectorsofthecharityforthepurposesoftheCompaniesAct2006,present their
reportwiththefinancialstatementsofthecharityfortheyearended31stAugust2025.Thetrustees have
adoptedtheprovisionsofAccountingandReportingbyCharities:StatementofRecommended Practice
applicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththeFinancialReporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
TheobjectoftheFoundationistheadvancementofhealthbytheimprovementofthetreatmentinall parts
oftheworldofchronicmyeloidleukaemiaandrelateddiseases(together"CML")andforthepurpose of
carrying out those general objects, the primary objects of the Foundation are in particular:-
(i) to improve clinical practice and disease monitoring in the treatment of CML
(ii) to support, encourage and promote research into the causes, prevention, study and treatment of CML
(iii)topromoteandsupporttheeducationofanddisseminateknowledgeamongstclinicians, scientists,
health professionals and patients in matters concerning CML
(iv)topromote,fosterandco-ordinatecollaborationthatisparticularly(butnotexclusively) international
andisnotonlyintheareasandactivitiesofclinicalpracticediseasemonitoringandresearchintoCML but
alsoinanyareaoractivitywhichisormaybeconducivetotheaccelerationofthecontroland/orcure of
CML
(v)topromote,setup,establishandsupportandshareandexchangeknowledgewithother organisations
whose objects are similar to these general or primary objects
(vi)toassistorpromoteanyothercharitablepurposeswhicharerelatedtothesegeneraland primary
objects.
Significant activities
In furtherance of the objects, the Foundation has the following powers:-
(i) to promote or carry out research
(ii) to provide advice
(iii) to give and exchange information and advice and promote learning, study and research
(iv)tocommission,publish,distributeandcontributetopapers,books,periodicals,reports,leaflets, posters
and other publications of any description
(v) to hold, attend and sponsor conferences, meetings, lectures, exhibitions and discussions
(vi) to raise funds and to apply for and solicit grants from pharmaceutical companies anywhere in the world.
Public benefit
TheTrusteeshaveconsideredtheirdutytohavedueregardtopublicbenefitguidancepublishedby the
Commissionandintheiropinion,theforegoingreportontheachievementsandperformance demonstrates
that they have complied therewith.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Charitable activities
TheInternationalCMLFoundation(iCMLf)isaglobalcharityworkingtoimprovetheoutcomesfor people
withchronicmyeloidleukemia(CML),particularlyinlow-andmiddle-incomecountries(LMICs).Our mission
istofosterglobalcollaboration,sharebestpractices,buildclinicalcapacity,andaccelerateresearch to
ultimately find a cure for CML.
In2024-2025,theiCMLfcontinuedtoaddressunmetneedsinCMLcareandeducationbydriving global
research, enhancing medical education, and fostering access to expert guidance and clinical excellence.
SUMMARY OF CORE PROGRAMS AND IMPACT
1. Global Research
TheiCMLfleadsinternationalcollaborationsthatinvestigatecriticalquestionstoimproveCML treatment,
including:
-BigDataProjects:ThroughtheGenomicsAllianceandTFR(Treatment-FreeRemission)Alliance, the
Foundationisworkingtoanalyseover3,400datasetsfrom27sitesacross19countries.Theseprojects aim
to understand genomic drivers of CML and improve the success rates of therapy discontinuation strategies.
-ResearchPublications:Threesignificantpeer-reviewedstudieswerepublishedthisyear,providing new
insights into CML biolog y and management.
2. Education and Clinical Capacity Building
PhysicianeducationonclinicalmanagementanddiagnosticsremainsacorefocusfortheiCMLf. Programs
include:
-KnowledgeCentre:Over1,200professionalsaccessedexpert-lededucationalmodules,includinga new
focus on fertility and pregnancy in CML.
-RegionalDiscussionGroups:Ninesessionsheldacrossthreecontinentsengaged250physicians from
44 countries, promoting region-specific dialogue and clinical learning.
-ClinicalConversationsandForums:Thesesessionsfacilitatedglobalpeerlearning.Over 2,000
on-demand views were recorded across three key sessions.
-PublicationsandCasediscussions:Morethan8,000viewsofchallengingcasediscussions, including
complexcasesonpediatricrelapse,pregnancy,andfourth-linetherapies,providedpracticalguidance for
clinicians.
-In-PersonEvents:iCMLfconvenedexpertpanelsatmajorglobaleventssuchastheJohn Goldman
Conference, the Ame rican Society of Hematology meeting, and the Indian Cancer Congress.
3. Awareness, Recognition, and Advocacy
-iCMLfPrizes:Prestigiousawardswerepresentedtoleadersinresearch,clinicalpractice,and patient
advocacy.
-PatientSupport:ProgramsandcommunityengagementssuchasFriendsofMaxinIndia amplified
patient voices and needs.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial position
The financial position of the International CML Foundation remains solid.
Expenditure
-Totalexpenditureonprograms:67%onphysicianeducation,11%ondiseaseresearch,and9%on patient
support.
- 36% of all expenditures directly supported people with CML in LMICs.
- 13% was allocated to fundraising and 10% to governance.
Principal funding sources
TheiCMLfworkscloselywithindustryandcommunitypartnerstosecureunrestrictedgrantsand sponsorship
for our programs and activities. The iCMLf requests donations through the iCMLf website.
Reserves policy
Thereservesattheyearendwere£184,718(2024-£263,528).ItisthepolicyoftheTrusteesto maintain
sufficientreservestoensurethedaytodayrunningoftheFoundation.Thelevelofreservesand current
financialcommitmentsarereviewedregularlyatTrustees'meetings.TheFoundationplanstohold a
minimumof£150,000asreservefunding.Thisistheamountforthefoundationtooperatewithout further
income/outgoings for one year.

FUTURE PLANS
TheTrusteesareproudoftheiCMLf'sachievementsin2024-2025.OurcommitmenttoequityinCML care,
globalcollaboration,andscientificinnovationcontinuestodrivetangibleimprovementsinpatient outcomes.
Lookingahead,theiCMLfwillbuildonthemomentumofitscurrentprogramsbyexpandingits research
networks,launchingnewregionallyfocusededucationinitiatives,anddeepeningengagementwith patient
communities.TheFoundationremainsfocusedonsupportingcliniciansandresearchersworldwideas we
work toward a cure for CML.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document
Thecharityiscontrolledbyitsgoverningdocument,adeedoftrust,andconstitutesalimited company,
limited by guarantee, as defined by the Companies Act 2006.
Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
ThepowerofappointingneworadditionalTrusteesisvestedintheexistingTrustees.Priorto appointment,
new Trustees would be introduced to the workings of the Foundation and advised of their responsibilities.
TheiCMLfBoardofDirectorsiscomposedofgloballyrenownedhematologistsandresearcherswho provide
strategicleadershiptotheFoundation.Toensurediverseperspectives,theBoardincludes representatives
fromlow-andmiddle-incomecountries,notablyBrazilandIndia.In2024,theiCMLfestablisheda Patient
AdvisoryCommitteetostrengthenpatientrepresentationwithinitswork.Thisnewcommittee brings
togethereightCMLpatientsandadvocatesfromfivecountries,whowillcollaboratewiththe Scientific
AdvisoryCommitteetohelpshapeandsupporttheFoundation'smission.TheiCMLf'soperations are
managedbyamultidisciplinaryteambasedacrossAustralia,theUnitedKingdom,Germany,the United
States, and India.
Organisational structure
TheChiefExecutivereportstotheeleveniCMLfDirectors,specificallytheiCMLfChairman.The iCMLf
Directors are supported by an Executive Committee of 3 directors and the Chief Executive.
Theoperationalteam;CommunicationsDirector,CommunicationsManager,DigitalMediaOfficer, and
ProgramManager,reporttotheChiefExecutive.InJune2024aDevelopmentManagerwashiredtojoin the
operational team.
Strategicdirection,financialreviewandbudgetapprovalaresetatanannualiCMLfDirectorsmeeting in
September/October each year. Further planning and discussion meetings are held quarterly.
Strategicplanningisassistedwithanannualadvisor'smeeting.ThisincludestheScientific Advisory
Committee and Patient Advisory Committee.The Patient Advisors also meet quarterly.
Theoperationalteammeetsquarterly.TheCommunicationsDirector/CommunicationsManager meet
biweeklywiththeChiefExecutiverespectively.TheProgramManagerandDevelopmentManager meet
weeklywiththeChiefExecutiveforbusinessplanning.TheChiefExecutiveandiCMLfChairman meet
monthly.
DecisionsareescalatedfromtheoperationalteamtotheChiefExecutive,iCMLfChairman,iCMLf Executive
Committee and iCMLf Board of Directors according to scale and impact.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Thefinancialstatementsofthecharitablecompany,whichisapublicbenefitentityunderFRS 102,
havebeenpreparedinaccordancewiththeCharitiesSORP(FRS102)'AccountingandReporting by
Charities:StatementofRecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccounts in
accordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland (FRS
102)(effective1January2019)',FinancialReportingStandard102'TheFinancialReporting Standard
applicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland'andtheCompaniesAct2006.Thefinancial statements
have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
Income
Items of income are recognised and included in the accounts when all of the following criteria
are met:
-
The charity or its subsidiary have entitlement to the funds;
-
any performance conditions attached to the item(s) of income have been met or are fully within the control of the charity or its subsidiary;
-
there is sufficient certainty that receipt of the income is considered probable; and
-
the amount can be measured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructive obligation
committingthecharitytothatexpenditure,itisprobablethatatransferofeconomicbenefitswill be
requiredinsettlementandtheamountoftheobligationcanbemeasuredreliably.Expenditure is
accountedforonanaccrualsbasisandhasbeenclassifiedunderheadingsthataggregateall cost
relatedtothecategory.Wherecostscannotbedirectlyattributedtoparticularheadingsthey have
been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Debtors
Debtorsarerecognisedatthesettlementamountdueafteranytradediscountoffered. Prepayments
are valued at the amount prepaid after taking account of any trade discounts due.
Creditors and provisions
Creditorsandprovisionsarerecognisedwherethecharityhasapresentobligationresultingfrom a
pasteventthatwillprobablyresultinthetransferoffundstoathirdpartyandtheamountdue to
settletheobligationcanbemeasuredorestimatedreliably.Creditorsandprovisionsare normally
recognised at their settlement amount after allowing for any trade discounts due.
Taxation
The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accounting
Unrestrictedfundscanbeusedinaccordancewiththecharitableobjectivesatthediscretionof the
trustees.
Restrictedfundscanonlybeusedforparticularrestrictedpurposeswithintheobjectsofthe charity.
Restrictionsarisewhenspecifiedbythedonororwhenfundsareraisedforparticular restricted
purposes.
Furtherexplanationofthenatureandpurposeofeachfundisincludedinthenotestothe financial
statements.
Foreign currencies
Assetsandliabilitiesinforeigncurrenciesaretranslatedintosterlingattheratesofexchange ruling
atthebalancesheetdate.Transactionsinforeigncurrenciesaretranslatedintosterlingattherate of
exchangerulingatthedateoftransaction.Exchangedifferencesaretakenintoaccountinarriving at
the operating result and are shown as other income.
