practice is followed. The Circuil also employs a Property Officer, and risks associated wilh the care and
mainienance of property are carefully monitored and guidance. prowided by the Nqeihodist Church, i

The Trustees wish to confimi thDI ihcy hav¢ complied with the duty in S¢¢tion 17 of the Chariiies Act 2011

Several of our Churches ¢oniiniie 10 51rug¥le lo recover from the curtailmenl of Iheir O¢1ivilies
during the Covid pandemic, This has impu¢t¢d on ihtir income and reserv¢s and has meant Ihal
50n)¢ have had 10 reduLe their finanLial support lo ihe Circuit. Neverth¢less. opportunilies have
arisen for exploring new way5 of worshipping and serving the community and increased use is
bein¥ made of iechnoloyy 10 broadcast services.
Our lo￿1 churches have now been grouped int() 4 hub5 and Ihe int¢ntion is thai Iho, will work
more closely to¥eiher and explore wllys in which Ihey can share resources and plan ahead.
There is a continuation of missional and ouireach activitie5 al many of our local churches. often
5UPPOrted by grant fuwlin¥ from both the CirLuiI and Districi.
Work continues al our Selby Sireei Mission to provide a welcomin¥ base and droTrin cenlre where
fellowship and support is a￿ailAble. A similar r¢sour¥e is provided by our M05ai¢ Church which
has sold its propen). bul ¢onlinues its work on North Ilull E4tate as a class of Clowes Memorial
Meihodist ("hurch. Princes Avenue Methodist C'hurch continues 10 provide much needed h¢lp and
support to refug¢e5 and asylum Seekers in partnership with the Open D(K)r5 proj¢¢i and Triniiy
Meth(Trdisi Church coniinue to provide help and suppon io youn¥ familieb by providin8 fr¢¢ s¢hool
unifom15 Ihrough th¢ Reunifom projeth.
Our various working groups which w¢ established during the p￿VIouS year continue to function
and provide sUPPOrt in speeific areas. In particular. our hubs are becomin8 well-e$tablished and
are providingy a platforni for ¢hurchcs to pool r¢sour¢es and ideas and to

ali¢rnalivc ways Io Teduce thc burdens of govLrnance amongst our member5. The appointmen￿ of a C.'ircuit
Finance Officer and a Circuit Prop¢rty and Safe¥uarding oificer have significanlly contributed lo reducing
Ihc burden of govemanc¢ on volunteers and we arc pleased io r¢port we now have a full complement of
C.ir¢uil Sicwards, This is a vithl role in the lifL of ihe Circuit and ih¢y provide An important link as w¢ seek
to ¥row and develop our new structure of hubs wiihin Ihe Circuit,

IZ Investments
The funds that support the Circuit Model Trust Fund and the Manses Fund are held by TMCP in Trustees Interest Funds on
which interest is credited to the accounts each month. These are regarded as medium and long term investments.
TMCP is the legal owner and Custodian Trustee of all Methodist Model Trusi property, Includlng Le8acles, Endowments and
Accumulated Funds. Trust property is held for and on behalf of local Man3gin8 Trustees who are responsible for the day to day
management of trust property. TMCP ensure that, through provldlng guldance and actlng under their directlon, the Managin8
Trustees comply wlth charlty law and Methodist law and polity as determlned by the Methodlst Conferen￿.
