The overall control of the charity is the responsibility of the| |Board of Trustees who are governed|by the trust deed adopted on| |The Pastor in charge and the church ministers run the day-to-day activities of the charity.|The Pastor liaises| |regularly with the Board of Trustees, who meet regularly|to review and oversee the affairs of the charity.| |Related Party Relationship| |RCCG House of Elyon is|a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of|God (RCCG), which has parishes worldwide.| |The relationship|is governed|by an "Agreement of|Common Purpose" between|the RCCG parishes and RCCG UK.| |Review of Activities and Future|Developments| |RCCG House of Elyon, with the help of|God and|the dedication of the Board of Trustees,|pastors, ministers, workers and members| |of the household, overcame the initial set-up challenges and has today become a well established|parish of the Redeemed Christian| |Church of|God. We initailly started from|a small location but have now suucessfully moved to a bigger location and|facilities,| |RCCG House of Elyon operates mainly from Lee Green in South East London as a community based christian organisation.| |With compassion for the growth of our youth and|the less|blessed, we commenced the use of a dedicated|Resource Center| |forfacilities. the use of the community. The Resource Center is well equiped with IT facilities and|free access to training and internet| |It is our plan in the future years to generate enough money through active solicitation for funding assistance to enable the| |charity purchase a center of its own. This will enable us pursue the plan to assist the youth in the community for Saturday school| |and|other activities to make them|busy and turn them away from crime.| |Risk Management| |The Trustees have assessed|the major risks to which the charity is exposed|to, in particular those relating to the operations| |and finances of the charity and are satisfied|that the system in place is adequate to mitigate any exposure to any major risk.| |Trustees' Responsibilities| |The law applicable to charities|in England and Wales requires the trustees|to prepare financial statements for each financial| |period.year which gives a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the surplus or deficit of the charity for that| |In|preparing these financial statements,|the|trustees have:| |*|Selected|suitable accounting policies and applied them consistently;| |*|Made judgements and estimates that are reasonable and|prudent;| |* Stated whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and| |explained|in|the financial statements;| |*|Prepared the financial statements on a going concern basis (unless|it is inappropriate to presume|that the Charity will| |continue|in|operation);| |* The trustees have overall|responsibility for ensuring that the charity has an appropriate system of|control,|financial and| |otherwise. -iii- ## Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD - HOUSE OF ELYON [report on the accounts of the Redeemed Christian Church of God - House of Elyon, for the year ended 30th September 202'4, which are set out on pages 1 to 7. ## Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Act)) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility: § to examine the account under (section 43(3)(a) of the 1993 Act); § to follow the procedures laid down in the General Direction given by the Charity § Commissioners (under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act); and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention ## Basis of independent examiner's report My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters.
