WE RUN LEEDS BUDDHIST CENTRE TO EXPLORE AND SHARE THE DHARMA WITH OTHERS. WE PRACTISE LIVING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEACHINGS OF THE BUDDHA IN OUR COMMUNITY AND WIDER LIVES. THE CHARITY IS RUN BY A COUNCIL OF TRUSTEES (DIRECTORS): ORDER MEMBERS AND MITRAS WITH A FORMAL CONNECTION WITH THE TRIRATNA BUDDHIST ORDER AND COMMUNITY. THE CENTRE IS RUN IN THE CONTEXT OF THE TRIRATNA BUDDHIST COMMUNITY.
Objects: The Advancement Of The Buddhist Religion In Particular;1. To Encourage Members To Live In Accordance With The Teachings Of The Buddha2. To Support Ordained Members Of The Western Buddhist Order And Duly Ordainedbuddhists, At The Discretion Of The Directors Of Friends Of The Western Buddhist Order (Leeds)3. T O Maintain Close Communication With And Work Under The Guidance Of The Westernbuddhist Order And In Co-Operation With Other Groups With The Same Objects.4. To Use Applications Of The Buddha's Teaching To Promote The Health And Well-Being Of All.
