Charity Name
Liverpool Prayer Fellowship
On accounts for the year 31 December 2024 Charity no 1132690 ended (if any) Set out on pages 3-4 (remember to include the page numbers of additional sheets)
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Act and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
-
examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act,
-
to follow the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Act, and
-
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner’s statement
Independent examiner's statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
In connection with my examination, no material matters have come to my attention which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect,:
-
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
-
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

We achieve this through a variety of ministries and programs designed to meet the diverse needs of our community. Through prayer, fellowship, and the in-depth study of God's Word, we empower individuals to discover their spiritual gis and reach their full potenal as instruments of God's glory. We encourage every member to acvely live out their faith, impacng their families, workplaces, and communies with the transformave power of the Gospel.
LPF warmly welcomes people from all walks of life. We believe that our varied backgrounds enrich our community and strengthen our collecve witness. Together, we are commied to fulfilling the Great Commission, spreading the message of salvaon and hope to the ends of the earth. We strive to be a light in our city and beyond, sharing the love of Christ and making a tangible difference in the lives of others, all for the glory of God.
Achievements
In 2024, the Liverpool Prayer Fellowship (LPF) is pleased to report the successful achievement of a major goal: the acquision of our own building, former Methodist Church, Longmoor Lane, Walton Vale, Liverpool, L9 2BU. The property contains a Church that was built in the last century, parish hall and approximately 0.25 hectares of land at the rear side of the parish hall. This accomplishment, the focus of our efforts in the past years, removes the limitaons previously faced in our charitable acvies. The new building provides a permanent home for all our programs and allows us to expand our outreach and engagement within the wider community. This dedicated space will enable us to conduct our acvies regularly and more effecvely serve those we seek to reach. A significant investment was made in refurbishing the exisng church building, including extensive work on both the interior and exterior, as well as the separate hall, ensuring a welcoming and funconal space for the community.
was sll able to carry out important charitable work both in the UK and in India. Our internaonal outreach focused on Kerala, India, where we provided vital financial assistance to two individuals struggling with the costs of medical treatment for acute illnesses. These intervenons aimed to alleviate immediate suffering and provide access to necessary healthcare.

Closer to home, LPF extended its support within the UK, recognizing the needs within our own community. We provided direct assistance to a family facing hardship, offering a helping hand during a challenging me. Furthermore, LPF contributed to several prominent charitable organizaons, including the Brish Red Cross, whose work provides crucial aid in mes of crisis; Woodlands Hospice, which offers compassionate care for those facing life-liming illnesses; and the Salvaon Army, known for its extensive community outreach and support for vulnerable populaons. These combined donaons, totalling £1,915.43 for the year, reflect LPF's commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of others, both near and far.
Recognizing the importance of nurturing the next generaon, the Liverpool Prayer Fellowship (LPF) made youth engagement a priority in 2024 by hosng mulple impacul one-day conferences. These events, designed specifically for young people, provided a dedicated space for connecon, learning, and spiritual growth. Held at our newly acquired and refurbished church building on Longmoor Lane, Walton Vale, Liverpool, the conferences offered a welcoming and inspiring environment for young aendees. A key element of these events was the involvement of youth leaders from other local churches, fostering collaboraon and broadening the network of support for the young people.
The conferences were structured to empower young aendees, providing a plaorm for them to openly discuss the unique challenges they face in today's world. Through interacve sessions, group discussions, and engaging acvies, parcipants explored praccal soluons and engaged in meaningful conversaons, all grounded in biblical principles. This approach not only encouraged acve parcipaon and leadership development among the youth but also fostered a strong sense of community and belonging. By addressing their concerns within a faith-based framework, the conferences aimed to equip young people with the tools and spiritual guidance they need to navigate their lives and grow in their relaonship with God.
