## **Objecves and Acvies**

The Liverpool Prayer Fellowship (LPF) is a vibrant Chrisan missionary church deeply rooted in the Pentecostal tradion. Our mission is to extend the reach of the gospel to all people, regardless of age or background, and to culvate an atmosphere where individuals can embrace, nurture, and express their faith in God.

Our core purpose at LPF is to ensure that every individual has access to the gospel message, comprehending its profound significance in their lives. We strive to create a nurturing environment where believers can flourish spiritually, mature in their faith, and become effecve instruments for advancing the Kingdom of God.

Through prayer, fellowship, and the study of God's Word, we endeavour to empower individuals to realize their full potenal as vessels of God's glory. At LPF, we are commied to equipping and inspiring every member to live out their faith authencally, impacng their communies and the world around them with the transformave power of the gospel.

As a community of believers, we embrace diversity and welcome individuals from all walks of life to join us on this journey of faith, growth, and service. Together, we aspire to fulfil the great commission, spreading the message of salvaon and hope to the ends of the earth, for the glory of God alone.

## **Achievements**

In the year 2023, the Liverpool Prayer Fellowship (LPF) faced limitaons in its charitable acvies as the focus shied towards a significant goal: the acquision of our own building. This endeavour aimed to establish a permanent space where all our acvies could be conducted regularly and where we could open our doors to the wider community, fostering a greater sense of outreach and engagement.

Despite these limitaons, LPF remained commied to its ethos of compassion and support for those in need. In Kerala, India, LPF provided assistance to two individuals who were unable to afford the costs of their medical treatment for acute illnesses. Addionally, we extended our support locally by contribung to the North West Air Ambulance and the Salvaon Army, amounng to a total of £604.33 in charitable donaons for the year 2023.

targeng children aged 9 and above. This empowering event took place at the Parish Church of St. Giles Hall in Aintree, Liverpool, and was led by Pastor Jinu John, a dedicated Chrisan missionary. During the conference, young aendees were given a plaorm to arculate the challenges they face and engage in meaningful discussions about praccal soluons, all within the framework of biblical teachings. This unique opportunity not only encouraged youth parcipaon but also fostered a sense of community and spiritual growth among the younger generaon.

**Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner**

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Act and that an independent examination is needed.

It is my responsibility to:

- examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act,

- to follow the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Act, and

- to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

**Basis of independent examiner’s statement**

## **Independent examiner's statement**

My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

In connection with my examination, no material matters have come to my attention which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect,:

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act; or

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
