Objectives
Al Ansar Foundation is a charity which is registered with the Charities Commission under the
registration number 1132684
The objects of the charity are-.
11 To provide Aid and Emergency Relief to people mainly in Bangladesh and other areas of need.
2) To assist other larger charities who have established people and resources in the a￿a$ mentioned
to fulfil objective 1.
3) The Trustees must use the income of the Charity in promoting the said objectives.

The trustees who served during the year and Sin￿ the year end are set out on page 2. Trustees are
appointed by the board of the trustees.
Activities:
1 Fatematu
Jahara
This is a Girls Orphanage and was set up in 2010. It is a free to use facility for the people of the
district.
During this accounting period their were 1020 girls in attendance.
Total number of girls who are boarding is avaraging 550, of these 245 were orphans, The orphans
costs are fully covered by the institute. Of the remaining boarders an average of 950h pay a
nominal sum, the costs of the remaining non-orphans are covered by the institute.
The remainder of the girls Gome from the local villages for free education, but do not require
boarding or food.

Teaching classes range from English and Bengali languages, to practical classes where children
are laught sewing. Computer classes have commenced, bul they are shared amongst many. They
are leaching Word pro￿SSIng and Searching how lo use the internet. Unfortunately the Electricity
is only on for a few hours and hence both wifi and Computers are unusable.
2 Darul Hadith Ambari
This is a Boys Orphanage and was set up in 2006. It is also a free to use facility for the people of
the locality.
During this accounting period their were 575 boys in attendance. From this total, 65 were orphans
and 125 boys are from a very poor background. All these boys slay with full board and their costs
are covered by the institute.
The remainder of the boys come from the local villages for free education. but do not require
boarding or food.
Teaching classes range from English and Bengali languages. A Computer class has still not
commenced, however the Headteacher is hopeful that they can do so in the coming year.

Al Ansar provides basic medicine5 to help with minor ailments eg Coughs. Colds, Diarrhoea,
Dehydration . On average, between 1200-2200 people use it every month. The numbers vary
depending on the season and the respective ailments.

Funding:
With the Gra￿ of God, we raised £150426 in Donations. The Bulk of this money was Zakaal with the balance
being Lillah and Interest.

each financial year which give a true and fair view of the charity's financial activities during the year and of ils
finaneial position al the end of the year. In preparing those financial slalemenls. the Iruslees are required lo
select suitablè accounting policies and then apply them consislenlly..
make judgements and estimate5 that are reasonable and prudent.,

subject lo any departures disclosed and explained in the financial slatements'.and

charity will continue in business.
The Iruslees are responsible for keeping accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any
time the financi81 position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with
the Charities A¢1 1993. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking
reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

The Charitie's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts In accordance with the
requirernents of Charities Act 2011.1'lhe Act").
The trustees consider that an audit is not ￿quIrtd for this year vnder section 144 01 the Act 2011 and that
an Independent examination Is needed.
It is rny responsibility to.
examine the accounts under section 145 of the Chaiilie¥ Act.
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Comrnission
under section 14515llbl of the Charitie5 Act.

Basis of independent examiner's report
My examination was Carried out in accordan￿ with the general D1￿CtionS given by the Charity Commission.
An examination Includes a review of the accounting iecord5 kept by the charity and a comparison of the
accounts posenled with those re￿[d5. It a150 indudes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in
the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees COn￿r￿1ng any such matters. The procedures
undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be ￿quired in an auclit and consequently no opinion is
given as lo whether the accounts present a 'irue and fair view, and the report is lirniled to those matters set
out in the statement below
