conduct other acts of religious worship, and
demonstrate the love of God to all,

Until the pandemic. the church held worship
services every Sunday, mid-week meetings
for prayer, bible study and socialising, a
lunchtime and activity meeting (Movers and
Shakers) for retirèd or unemployed people
on Wednesdays, at which attendan￿ was
typically 20 lo 25. On Thursdays, the church
also ran a toddler group for pre-school
chiklren and their mothers andlor carers, at
which attendan￿ was usually 40 adults and
50 chiklren or more. There was also a
program of activities on Friday afternoons
and evenings for children and young adults
from 3 to 18. divided into three age groups.
Both of these activities were supported by
café at which light refreshments were sold.
The premises were also let for community-
based activities such as Slimmer's Wodd
and Jazzercise. During the pandemic, the
church service and mid-week meetings have
been held on the internet. A regular news-
letter has been compiled and distributed to
those who attended the Movers and Shakers
meeting. Atthough the other activitr'es have
been suspended, the church has organised
the provision and distribution of essential
food supplies to those in need in the locality,
and to families with children at the local
school, with nearly 200 food par￿lS being
distributed. as well as Ihe fetching of
prescriptions and essential shopping. The
church has also arranged for the provision of
school uniforms to some 40 children from
families that needed assistan￿.

The provision of on-line Se￿1¢eS and
meetings have undoubtedly mitigated the
effects of the social isolation imposed by the
government. The organising and distribution
of aid to those affected has afforded
significant relief and reduced the distress of
tr￿se in the community whose income has
been badly affected by the pandemic. The
effort5 of the church have demonstrated the
benefits of a Christian life-sty￿ to Ihe
community as a whole.

The Trustees of The Pastures Churth recognise
that reserves are needed to manage cash flow
delays where income arrives later than
expenditure. Cash in the bank at any one lime is
ornialty sufftient to cover such delays. The
Trustees will regulady consider the levels of
current and expected income and expenditure
and assess the level of cash reseNes reqUI￿d lo
meet any shortfalls in cash receipts over
payments. The Treasurer is authorised lo
accumulate a sum equlva￿nt to three months,
expendilure as reserves.

I report on the a(xounts of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2020. contained on
pages 1 to 3.
Responsibilities and basys of rèport
The charity's trustees are resp)nsible for the preparation of the accounts in aocordance with
the requirements of the Chartlies Act 2011 (the Act).
It is my responsibilty to examine the aCc￿ts under Sect￿￿n 145 of the act. I have followed
the procedures laid down by the Charity Commission in their genefal dlrections under
section 145(51{bl of the act.

I have completed my examination. I cA)nfirm that no matwial matters have come to my
attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material
respect-
