All members are encouraged to tske an appropriaie part in the spiritual and praciical tasks

Objectives aDd Aetivities
In order to fulfil the Charitable Purp)se sei oui atM)%'e. the Church provides a nurnber ofaciivities
both for its membership and for th¢ communitv generally. The aim is to show the love of Jesus

chri￿ in both word and dttd and io bring people inio a closer relationship with Him as living
Lord.
The )'ear ￿'aS significantly affected b), the CoN'id 19 pandemic. The church %¥'as carefijl to
compl), with regulations and guidelines issued b). the goi'emm¢nt and completed a full Covid 19
risk ass¢ssmeni which updated from lime 10 time ￿ regulations and guidelines changed.
Regular activilies are described below as thes happen in normal limes bui manv could noi tske
place in the nonnal way. SeTr'ices conlinued w be held but tran5milted via YouiubE. Il'hen
perniitted. people w.ere allowed to attend in accordance with regulations and guidelines. A
children s programme Vi&S also created and transmitted Nia Youtube. Oth¢r activiti¢s. such as
lifegroups. prnjer m¢ding& social aciii'ities and other meetings (including formal church
meetings) took place i'la Zoom. The Pa￿oral ieam took extra care to lry to ensure that ￿pIe felt
sup￿rted emotionally. spiritually and practically &$ n¢cessar)'.
Central io the work and witnes5 of the Church is the proN'ision of regular public sern'ices of
Christian worship. Bible leaching? and prnver. The main Sunda!, sep¥'ice is at l O.00am ￿here the
focus is on w'orship and Bible leaching. A children"s progranune is proi'ided at the same lime a
the morning service. Other seTh'ices are arranged from lime io lime as appropriate. Groups meel
for prayer normall). on Thursday. Friday and Saiurday mornings and Sunday evenings. The
Church seeks to be a friendly and wtlcoming communiry and anytxxty is free to attend any of
these 5eryices or meeting&
During the wc¢k, lifegroups mtti generally in members houses with a Nic￿, to pastoral supporL
encouraging one another in faith and in working oui the practical implications of teing a
Christian and living in the general ¢ommuniVJ'. Sw¥'eral aciivilTr'.based 8roup5 th'ere also
established in order io help deepen relaiionships. The naiure of these nem" groups V+ill vary from
time to time but iniliall> included groups for crafL community. involN'emenl. dancing and running.
All regular Church attend¢¢5 are encouraged to belong to one or more of these lifegroups or
activity groups .
Other weekl) activities norn￿11! include '"Little Feel- on Monday mornings (a mother and
toddler group). -options on Tuesday mornings (for ￿'oMen of all ages). ""Get Real, on Monda),
ei'enings for teenager5 and ""Engage- on Frida%, afternoons (for primary school children). These
meetings are all open to the general public. These activities 4N'ere largeli, suspended during the
Covid 19 pandemtc.

A major objective is to reach out io th¢ communitl, in ￿¢181 aclion io sho￿. God's generous heart
through ben¢fii to the public. To this end fTe¢ actiN'ities are organised during the )"ear. Aciii'ities

undertaken include quizzes. musical eN'ening5 and organising a communitv fun da). on the green
outside the lowi] hall. In conjunction principall). ￿1th St Thomas church in Holtspur. w'¢ operate
a food bank pick-up p)ini run in associaiion ￿'1th One Can Tn￿L a food bank based in High
Wycombe. As the pandemlc took hol(L the demand for food parcels sharply incre&8ed and St
Thoma5 maintained a food larder at their chwch in conjunction with a local communitie5
organisalion IBeller Connecled Beaconsfield) and One Can T￿￿. Arrangements ￿e[C made to
deliver food parcels rather than clients picking them up themseli'es. The church continues 10
colleci iiems for the f(N)d bank iK)th from ￿7th1n the congregation and from I(￿al supern)arkets.
In 2016. a Job Club Has started on Frida!. mornings in ass(Kiation ￿'1th 'fhristians Against
Poverty." Thi5 15 designed io proi'ide friendl)" pr￿tICal SUp￿rt lo help jobseekers step
confidently into emplo)'meni. A Job Club thai n￿￿ing in March 2020 suspended wthen
Coiid 19 rules were esLiblished. Since then, individual people have Eeen hel￿ over the
ielephonelemail bui no courses have taken place.
Thc Church 0￿rat¢S systems lo ensur¢ that wip1¢ w'orking with children and Trulncrable adults
ar¢ appropriately vetted with ￿gard to the SO￿'ernMents's Disclosure and Barring Ser+'iC¢.

benefit to the public,
Achievements and Perforniance
The Church does not measure the success of its progrdrnmes onl). in numEtrs. including firwjcial
nurn￿r$. bul also in less tsngible areas like tell0￿ship. encouragement, spiritual gromlh and
generally proiiding a wsitive. beneficial impact in the communily. The Charity Truslees
recognise thai these are not easy to measure beliei'e ihat 2020 TATrS a p)sitiN'e vear in the life
of the Church and it is well placed to coniinue pursuing its Charithble Purpose in 2020 and
beyond.
Church membership stands at 80. Norn]aJ altendance at sm'ices is in excess of this numkr ￿7th
larger numbers from time lo tirne on spKcial occasions. There are a good number of children
altend church activities.

There are good attendances b!, memkrs and ihe genera] public al m05t aclii'ities. The
community. ¢vents and actii'ities are w)pular and some &er)' w)sitii'c feedback h&s been received
from the council. the public and local ne￿spaperS.
Finaneial Review
The financial results for the year together V¥ith a summary of the accounting wlicies adopted are
set out in the accompanying financial thtements.
The Church had income of £183.300 and expenditure of £193.427 resulting in a deficit or
£10.127.
The year ended in a healthy rtnancial FX)Sition with £49.742 in free C￿h. A fi￿her £144.098 was
