associated wrth the church and will pray for Ihem regularty. In pU￿Ul1 of this, we commii ourselve51o Ihis policy
and to Ihe developrnent of sound procedures lo ensure we Implernent Ouf policy well. The safeguardino policy.
procedu￿5 and practices are reviewed on an annual basis. There is a Designated Person for Safegu8rding
(DPS), Peter Yinfaowei, a deputy DPS. Rebecca George and a Safegua(rling Ttuslee. Janel C(Ouchet.
Objeeiives and Activities
To achieve its principal objeciives as set out above, the Church proTr4Nle5 a variety of activities tK)th to ts
fflembership and to the community generally. The aim is to Show the love of Jesus Christ in IM)Ih word arKI deed
8￿j to bring people into a closer relationship wilh Jesus Chrisl as living Lord.
Central to the wotk and wilness of the Church is the kyovlslon of regulai public se￿iceS of Christian worship.
These service5 lake place each Sunday at 11.00 a.m.. and Ihere ate wular Bible classes foi all age groups
conducted from 10.00 am every Sunday. Special services al other times a￿ advertised on Ihe Church Notice
Board. Church Website, Ihrough leafleti￿ and by sending emails lo member5. There is a full children's
programme during each Sunday morning ser¥ice serving preschool and primary age chiklren. The church seeks
lo be a fn'endty arMI welcoming cofflmunity, and anyLM)dy is free to attend any of Ihese serwices.
The Church rnns a range of "new life" groups for the growth of faith and discipleship on the church premises
where l)oth member5 and non-members are welcome lo aitend.
The Young Foundations Preschool closed at the end of the 2024125 academic year as It was no longer
financially wiable io continue lo operaie. This decision was taken by the Pr&School management on 18 March
2025, and Ihe diaconate and Injstees were fonnally nolrfied on 214 March 2025. Bexley Council and OFSETD
were ￿th formalty notified.
Emmanuel Bapiisi Church Thamesmead continues to wovNJe premises and other support for the wotk of the
Greenwich Food Bank which distributes fo(>J to Ihose in need after refeNal from local professionals. This
strenothens effective paslor81 links wrth local schools. senior teachets, soGial worke￿, and other communrty
care lean￿.
Achievements and Perfonnan¢•
The Church does nol measure Ihe Sucxess of its programmes only in numbers, includino financlal numbers. but
also In less tangible areas like fellowship and encouragement. The Church reco9nise5 that Ihese are difficuli to
measure: Regular Sunday Ser￿lceS are hekl. and we continue lo offer onllne services to Ihose membe[5 who
a￿ unable to attend physically.
Overseas mission activity
In addition to regular support for BMS Worbj Mission the church continues to support Evangelical Aclion Brazil
(EAB). a chan.ty working in Paraiba. in the northeasl of Brazil. Regular updates are received from John and Liz
Medcraft who head up Ihe EAB Charily.
UK Giving
The church makes annual payments to the Baplist Unlon of Great Btiiain (BUGB) Hoff￿ Mission, Ascensiort
Trust and sen￿r5 in Touch.
Local outreach and Social Activities
)ffth the Support and generous giving of the congregalion we made and donaled a total of 150 Chiislmas
vouchets to people and families in the local cofflmunrty. We atso njn. in conjundion with the Greenwich Food
Bank. a food distiitsulh)n cenire each Tuesday and Thursday morning.

The Church leadets are satisfied thal the aclivities oullined above demonstrate thal the chatity is F¥ovKling a
benefit to Ihe public and local community.

and congregation.
The Church is very dependent on, and very graieful for, the volu￿ary worf( undertaken ty many chufch
members in all aspects of church lrfe.
The Trustees have assessed the major risks facing the church and are satisfied inat Ihere are ￿lICleS in place
io minimise these risks, including appropriate PL (public liability) and EL (employerfs liabiliiy) insurance.
