The Paro¢hial Church Council is a Corporate body eslablished bv the chU￿h of England. Th¢ PCC operates
under the Parochial Chiirch Council PoM¢rs M¢asur¢. The method of aptK)kntment of PCC members is set out
n the Church Representation Rules. At St. Mary's the m¢mb¢rship of th¢ PCC ¢onsists of the incumbent
{our vicar). churchivardens and members elected by those of the congregaiion ivho ar¢ on the ¢l¢ctoral roll of the
church. All those ivho come io Si Mary's are encouraged to register on the Electornl Roll and stand for electLOtI
to the PCC. The PCC meniber5 ar¢ ￿spOnSible for tnaking decisions on all llL&tters of getteral concern and
importance to the parish including deciding on how the ￿ndS of the PCC are to be spent. Neiy members should
receive initial training into the ivorkings of the PCC. Thc tull PCC mel six limcs dLiring the >ear and

AIMS AND PURPOSES
Si. Mary's Parochial Church Council (PCCI has th¢ responsibility of coop¢rating with the incumbenL the
Reverend Philip Smith, in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish. the ivhole mission ofthe Church: pastoial,
evkngelistic: social. and ecurnenical. The PCC is also specifically resp)nsible for the use and maÈntenance of
St Mary'8 Chiirch Hall.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
The PCC is committed to enabling as many people as ￿ssIble to worship at our church and to become part of our
parish ¢ommunity at St. Mary's. The PCC maintain$ an overview of Thvr5hip throughout the parish and makes
suggestions on hoiv our seTvices can involve the many groups that live within our parish. Our services and ivorship

To lacilitate this worL it is important that we maintain the fabric of the Church of St. Mary. a grdde Il• listed
buildi[￿ and the Church Hall.
ACHIEVENIEf*T AND PERFORMANCE
Wtsrship and Prayer
The PCC is keen to offer a range of sen'ic¢s during the week and over the course of the year that our community find both
benefi¢ial and spiritually fulfilling. Our normal Sundtty seTrices are 08..00 and 09..30 services of Communion and ive nomially
complement these with special services for festivals and particular Sundays in the church year.
All are welcome to attend our regular services. At the end of 2024 there are 102 {1041 panshioners on the Chureh Electoral
Roll. Attetsdaoce figures {2023 figures in brn¢ketsl Sho￿ gn #vernge attendance #t 8 am on Sunday of 14 (151. 418) children and
35139) Adiilts at 9.30 Sunday and 13113) for Wcdncsday communions. There were 8 (6) baptisms. 16 {6) funerals in church
and 3 (6) weddings.

Deanery Syno
Two members of ih¢ PCC and th¢ Vicarsit on the Deanery Syn<NI. Thrs prOV￿c$ the PCC with an important link
between the parish and the wider structures of th¢ chu￿h.
The Church
W¢ wattt our ¢hur¢h to b¢ open to our cortullunity for private prayer. Unfonurniely. since the thefts some years
ago we have feli unable to kav¢ the ¢hurch open at all tiTtKs for private worship. We hope that Lll the future we
can find 50mE way of Tnaking the Church open for Pfdyer, at least during tirtKs of the wcek.
Our Architect carried out a Quinqucnnial Inspe¢iion in Novernbtr 2023_Mostly the f&bric is in good condition and
it IS 5llggested that the gutters should be moved so as to ¢at¢h more of the rnin, ¢specially when it ra%DS hard. Th¢
ar¢hi¢¢¢i wmplimenied th¢ PCC on the care taken of the buildi0&
The Chureh Hall
The Church Hall in norn￿[ ¢ircunLStan¢es, is well Used atKI tLOTmally Tai5e5 significatlt fund5 for the PCC.
Th¢ PCC are very gralefiil to Mrs Christine salt￿ who manage5 the bookings and rtminlenance of the HRII wtth
volunteers and paid contractor5 a5 nee¢ssary.The nmjor us¢rs of th¢ hall ar¢ a dan¢¢ s¢h¢)ol. Rainlx>ws. Guides and
Brownies, Zumba and badminton and a Re5PiTaiory Supporf GTOUP. a]ong with worship each Suttday by the House
of Glory Church. There are also casual Ix)okings. The hall ¢ar park h&s s¢v¢ral spa¢es rented by a local fim and
this brings in a st￿lfiCant income.
The Churehyard and Burial Ground
The chur¢hyard is ¢losed by order in collncEI, but CTErnted remains can be In￿rted in the appropriate affa.
The grdS5 is maintained by the London Borough of Hounslow, and volullteus carry out further tssks. The PCC
has a b￿rIal ground near Bedfont Lake5 and we are very gra*ful to TorJyGroves for his WOTk in maiDtaining it.
The ¢huwhyard is famous for its topiary pcacock5.
Pastoral CAre
Some nKmb¢rs of our partsh ar¢ unable to attend Ch￿ch due to si¢kness or age. Reverend Philip Smith has visi*d
all church members who have requested it. to celebrare commwiion with them either at the￿ homes or in hospital.

Our parish m&gazin¢ is distributed motlthty to subsCri￿rS and ￿SUal purchasers. The TTWZtne keeps our
patl5hioneT5 i]]fonned of the iM￿)rtartI matters affwiing our Chvr¢h atKI artiGl¢s thai h¢lp (kv¢lop our knowl¢dg¢
and irusr in Jesus. We thank Linda Ilori for her editorship and Robert Ingltam for organising the collation
