The Sunior Church team provide weekly classes during the main seryice on Sunday mornin￿ durin8 term-

Our choir was delighted to welcome 4 neiv junior ihoristers during the year.
EVANGELISM AND Ol￿REAcH
ThL, ChurLh Fete is a major outreach event ID the life of the church and village. It is L'njoyed by man}.,
attracting visitors both within and beyond the villase. This event was held in the Church. Churchyard and
Manor House grounds in Svly.

The church attracts many visitors, and thL'y arc very welcome. Visltor numbers continuo to incrLbase and in
turn visitor donations also increased. Improved signage continues lo improve the visitor expL'ric'ncL' and

Access to Music
Monthly music concerts to()k place during the year. These attracted a wide group from within the local
community and furthcjr afiL,Id. A charity con￿rt Inr Friends of ChildrL)n in Rc7mania also l(x)k plaLIN in
Ausust.

CHURCH BUILDING. GROUNDS AND FWURE PROJECTS
The PCC continued to improve the internal and exlernal si8na8e durin8 the year.
Improvements have beth made in the RÉnging Ch<imber iyith the installation of nliw oak benches, electronic
screens and a projectvr for use by the Junior ChuTch in their weekly clas￿.
The Churchyard has been maintained and cleaTance work undertaken to tmprove the outdoor spa￿.
PIovi8ion of pastoral care for people livin8 in the parish
Re8ular eonla¢t has taken place wilh parishioners wtshm8 to rLYoive communion at home and in care homes
loially. A small gruup of laity assisl the clersy in providin8 this care.
We 11re delishted that two members of the consresation were commissioned as AtsthorisL*d l.ay Mini*ters at
Chichester Caihl'dral by Bishop Ruth, Bishvp of Hursham in May 202i, and they support the clergy and the
P4lrish in l)asloral work and Worship & Litursy.

The maj(Ir suurce of PCC income arises from planned siving 41nd tax recovered from Gift Aid. At* a result of
our annual Autumn Stewardship campai8ns thcTe has been a steady incrL>ase over the past tw'o years ye.ar

We continue lo benefit from donations from visitors lo ihe Church, ix)th by card traiiS¢lCtions lind cash. This
is Set aside in the Desisnated Fabric Fund. This vear we also held a very successful Church Fete which raised
£15,Y16. Another substantial income stream is re￿iVed from parochial fees for life events which this year
exceeded £13,OCKJ.
Major improNements were carried out to the Ringin8 Chamber; new benches, Screens and o projeclor at a
total cost of £16.IrJo. This was funded frvm a prrvioug le8acy and theDe4ignatLbd Fabric Fund as the Chamber
is used by Junior Churth and the screens addressed a health and safety issue.
The Churcli Iilso incurred substantial cxpense5 towards the upkeep of the Churchyard {Ll.71)0) and the Burial
Ground {£4,lll)).
The parish m<lsazine, Bosham Life. made a small profit this year thanks to an increase in advertisins income.

The total relates directly lo the housin& SUPPOTL stiplmd and pension of the clersy of thi8 parish,
Irainins of new OTdinands, a contribution to national church funds and. shared costs of the ChristiLin family
throughout Ihe whole diocese, IncEuding a5SiStance towards the upkeep of churches less able lo mana8e Ihan
ourselves.

Staff costs
ThL PCC employed paid an administrator, or8anist lind cleaner for the full year of 2011.
A part-time caretaker for St Nichola5 Hall was alw paid for 6 months of 2025. but thLS is role is now being
C<lrried out on a voluntary basis.

Trustee payments and expenses
The PCC supported the incumbent by payin8 various bills relatins to the Vicarage amountin8 to £5,036. In
addition, the PCC paid workins expensEs amountin8 to £4,229 (Vicar) and £2,706 (Curate) incurred during
their work in the Parish and in their wider ministry.
The H&ill Caretaker is related to onc of the current Churthwardens. There were no other payments to persons
related to or connectcxl to, the Trustees.
Why we hold some money in reserve
