Continued operation ofindividual chaplaincies
reflects not only the changing needs ofpeople
in their local communities, particularly in
relation to social integration and community
cohesion. The charity is involved in
chaplaincies connected with secular institutions,
such as hospitals, prisons.
The Youth chaplaincy is responsible for
nurturing the character oftomorrow’s adults,
formingthem into active, capable citizens with
the confidencerequired to thrive in modern
society. The youth ministry has aparamount
importance to the Missionaries ofLa Salette
and is provided onthe parish level as well as in
the secondary schools connected with our
parishes andbeyond. Someyoung people from
our parishes went on a Brentwood Diocesan
Pilgrimage to Lourdes in July 2025 organised
by Brentwood Catholic Youth Service.
One ofour priests went to Lourdes with the
youth. Our priests provide pastoral provision for
the needs ofPolish communities in Brentwood
andEastAngliadiocese.
The Trustees have held a high regard to the
guidance issued by Charity Commission on
public benefitand wish to record their
recognition to the people who support the
Congregation ofMissionaries ofOur Ladyof
La Salette. Theirdedication and positive
attitude are greatly appreciated in furtherance of
the aims and activities ofthe Charity.

understanding and cohesion, and contributes to

furtheringothercharitable purposes. The above
is demonstrated by 5000 people attending mass
each Sunday together with masses also being
saideach day in our parishes. The Charity
although it’s a small organisation has clear
aims, a simple structure and short chains of
command. Systems forassessing and insuring
against all risks to the Charity are in place to
ensure that theCharity complies fully with
Charity Commission legislation. We confirm
we have had regard to public benefit guidance

Parish life is supported through the provision of
clergy and buildings as a result ofwhich many
parishioners provide support to the local and

weekly attendance figures and thenumberof
baptisms, confirmations, marriages, etc are
indications ofthe success ofthe work,
performance can also be measured by the
continuing strength ofour parish communities
and the individualjourneysoffaith ofour
parishioners. Sick and elderly parishioners
received the Eucharist and Sacrament ofthe
Sick, the dying and their relatives received
comfort and support. We believe that aiding the
grieving process for relatives involves
providing consistent, practical, and emotional
support that acknowledges the unique nature of
their loss. Effective supportoften focuses on
"being there," listening without judgment, and
helping with daily tasks, ratherthan trying to
"fix" the pain.
The Charity supports various missionary
activities run by Missionaries ofLa Salette in
UkraineandMadagascar.

Review of the Finances of The Congregation of Our Lady of La Salette

Background

|, Andrew Dunn ama tax practitioner and Managing Director of Rodings Tax & Accounting Ltd. | have been producing clergy financial Returns to the Diocese of Brentwood for over 15 years and also act as tax adviser to over 500 ministers of religion.

| was asked by Father Mariusz Fura in February 2026 to review the finances of The Congregation prior to submission of the annual return to the Charity Commissioners.

Brief

| was requested by Father Marius Fura in Feburary2026 to review the financial data of Dagenham, Goodmayes, Harlow, Rainham, and Peterborough and to ensure that the financial data declared by them and subsequently shown within ‘the schedule’ to be sent to the Charity Commissioners, reflects a true and fair statement of The Congregation.

Objectives

To analyse each bank account and compare the activity of the data declared within the schedule provided and to study the activity of the Restricted Funds and to select one community for detailed examination.

Findings

Goodmayes - | reviewed the file and the bank account statements. The information on the Receipts and Payments Schedule were correctly recorded as were the Restricted Funds.
