s of the Parochial Church Council in 2023
The Council met on 6 occasions in 202i. Much of the focus of the year was on the retirement
of our incumbent Fr Graeme Rowlands. The Coun¢il ￿orked with Fr Ro￿landS to ensure a
smooth transition inio the inteThegnum and that the life and mission of the parish should be as
uninterrupted as possible. The Council worked with the Bishop of Fulham and the Patrons of
the Parish (Dean and Chapter of Si Paul"s Cathedral and Bishop of London) to prepare for the
appointment of a new incumbent. Ms Lesle!, Goddard and Jonathan BowThan were
elected by thc Council io act on their behalf in this u'ork.

The general and focussed upkeep of the building has continued io ensure that il is safe for use
by both the congregation and school. Il'e continue our close links with Holy Trinity and S.
Silas Primary School congregalion members seThing as PCC Goi."ernors and assisting in
the life of the school. This is one of the primary Thorks in our mission and leads to a number
of pastoral interactions with school families and local residences. We continued to host
school masses. activities and w'orship in the church, and the use of the church hatl continues
to be primarily as a space for school lunches and other actii'ities.
Our main worship takes place on Sunda> mornings and this Mass continues to focus on
families wkth a child friendly homily and children iaking a leading role in ￿'Orship. The
voluntary choir continues to sing twice a month and at each Mass there is a cantor to assist in
worship.
The Council continue to consider ways to improi'e the access to the site and renoi'ate the
South West corner of the chuwh and how this might be used for mission and ministry.
The parish now has a nem. website and this is king w'ell used as a wa) to make contact wlth
people.
S. Silas
Thc worshipping life if S. Silas has eoniinued to grow follo￿)ng on trom the cO￿d
restrictions. We continued our close links with Catholic Socieiies and welcomed again the
Society of Mar). for their May Devotion. This is a great piece of outreach for the parish and a
public MTrtnes5.
The Solemn Masses on Sundas Continues to be the main tocus of our Itfe and worship at this
is augmented by our professional choir V•ho sing on most Sundays and Feast Da)'s during the
year.
We continue lo care for the church building and to ensure that it is kept in a suitable state of
care for worship. We are grateful to all ihose IN'ho gil'e of their time to this work.
We ¢ontinue to host community groups in the church hall and are considering ￿'ayS to
improve and augment these facilities. Through charithble giN".ing w".e support Mary's Meals

and the Camden Foodbank. The congregation also made pilgrimage lo ihe Shrine of Our
Lad). of Walsingham.
A new parish websit¢ and Facebook page hai."e helped us in our outreach.
In conclusion the Council thank all V¥ho hai'e M""OTked so hard in our mission and outreach in
