Independent Examiner's Report to the membersltrnstees of the Parochial Church Council of
St Thomas, Church Ivith St Nicholas, Cbureh Centre, Bedhamptott
I report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 31 December 2021, which are set out in
pages I to 7 alld accompanying notes.
Respective responsibilities of trusl¢es and eiaminer
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees
consider that an audit is not required for ihis year und¢r section 144(2) of the Cbarities Act 2011
(The Charities Act) and That an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to
examine the accounts uhder section 145 of the 2011 ACL
to follow the procedures laid dowi in the General Directions given by the Charity
Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities ACL and
to slate whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance ￿7th the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounling records kept by the charity and a
coniparison of the accounts presented those records. It also includes consideration of an},
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trnstees for any
such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be Tequired in
an audit, and consequently no opinion is gI￿ell as to ￿"hether the accounts present a 'true and fair
view and the report is limited to those rnaiters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's state￿¢￿1
In connection with my examinatio￿ no mal¢rial matters have come to my att¢ntion which gives me
cause to believe that in any material respect:
The accounting records wer¢ not kept in accordance Thiih section 130 of the ChaTities Act; or
The accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
Th¢ accounts did not comply with the applicable requiicments concerning th¢ fonn and
content of the accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008
other than in any requirement that the accounts give a'true and fair- view which is not a
matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have come across no other Enatters in connection with th¢ ¢xamination to which attention should be
dra￿￿ in this r¢port in order to enable a prop¢r understanding of tbe accounts to be reached.
